I’m not entirely sure if this is the right corner of the forum to post this, but here goes nothing:
Does anyone know how to get rid of my username being saved on my laptop? I didn't even check the "remember me" box when I logged in, yet there it is—stuck. It’s driving me a little crazy because as soon as I type that first letter, the whole thing just pops up automatically.
Look, I don't mind typing in my password every single time—that's fine—but I really just want the username field to stay empty and stop suggesting itself.

It's probably not the forum itself remembering you, but more likely your browser.

Maybe try turning off auto-complete in your settings😉

Hey everyone... I have a quick question and I'm not entirely sure if this is the right spot for it, but I figured I'd give it a shot...
So, here's the deal: I definitely don't want to delete my profile or anything, but when I first set everything up, there was an option to choose whether or not I wanted the admins to send me an Email Notification of New Private Messages... well, I totally missed the chance to opt-out, and now I'm stuck with them hitting my inbox! I really meant to click "no," and now I'm just sitting here wondering how on earth I can fix this...
Basically... I really don't want these messages cluttering up my email. Is there any way to change those settings after the fact? Thanks a million, you guys are the best! 🙂)))))

Just head over to options and toggle off both "Receive emails from the admin" and "Email Notification of New Private Messages."

alright, so you can't actually delete your profile, but I guess you could maybe reanimate Nik?

Is there any way I can request a permanent ban without actually breaking any forum rules? My sense of politeness won't really let me just go on a tirade.

Basically, I’m trying to get back into reading more. There are certain topics I love diving into, but at the same time, some of the users here just... well, their posts get under my skin so much that I end up arguing with them. It’s a massive time sink. I’ve got the spammers blocked, obviously, but when it comes to the "normal" people, I find myself debating them until I'm blue in the face.

Please, help me break this little half-addiction. Thanks. 😁

We don't actually issue permanent bans around here, but you could find yourself facing one for up to two years if things go south.

Hey there

I’m looking at my own open thread—the one where nobody has actually replied yet—and I’m wondering if it should just be deleted entirely, or maybe renamed to something like "The Best Boots Ever" or even just "What on earth am I supposed to do?!" Honestly, if there were any way to just wipe it from existence or rename it to "A Total Disaster," I’d take it in a heartbeat.
I’m serious, guys, I really need a change of pace here.
And once that's settled, I think I might finally go ahead and change my handle to Shtrudlino.

If you want to talk about this thread, you should probably just reach out to the mods over where it was originally posted. As for the username, I think I already gave you my answer on that one. Changing it to Shtrudlino isn't happening, mostly because it doesn't even come close to sounding like your current handle.
