The Unborn

Anyone checked out who’s actually making The Unborn..? I feel like it should be hitting theaters right about now.. I can't quite remember, but the trailer looks killer, even if my research suggests the actual movie isn't anything to write home about. What do you guys think?🙂

Man, I totally screwed myself by watching that trailer. Almost every single scary part was packed into those few minutes, except for maybe one or two bits... So now, it’s not even really terrifying to me anymore.

I watched it. Total garbage.

I haven't caught it yet, but I definitely plan to. There's something about certain scenes that gives me major Silent Hill vibes.

So, I finally sat down and watched it, and honestly... I can't say I was exactly blown away... I mean, the lead actress is totally easy on the eyes and has that certain something, but as far as the movie goes, it just felt like another one of those cookie-cutter flicks we see all the time...

This movie isn't anything special. Honestly, there are a million just like it out there. It’s basically just a collection of recycled tropes stolen from The Exorcist, a pretty lead actress, her even prettier best friend, blah, blah, blah...
Save yourself the time and watch something else.

The movie isn't anything groundbreaking, but honestly, it’s decent enough if you just need to kill some time and drown out the boredom.
I'd probably give it a solid 5/10.

The movie hits theaters here in the States on May 21st. The trailer looks fantastic, so I’m definitely planning to catch it. However, I have some reservations because Michael Bay is producing this one—and he’s also behind films like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Amityville horror, and Friday the 13th, which doesn't exactly inspire confidence.

Michael Bay is also set to produce the remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street 😬

Right now, there's a somewhat similar film playing in American cinemas called The Haunting in Connecticut.

To prepare myself for this release, I think I'll rewatch The Exorcism of Emily Rose. It reminds me of An American Haunting, though in my opinion, that one didn't quite hit the mark.

Honestly, this movie was such a letdown. Even though the trailer looked amazing, the actual film felt heavy and incredibly dull—just a total waste of time for me. 4/10

The movie isn't anything groundbreaking, but it certainly didn't turn out to be the disaster I was bracing for. The cinematography holds up well enough, and you have to admit that Anne Hathaway is stunning. Megan Good is equally attractive. As far as genre goes, it’s a horror drama. I did find myself chuckling slightly at the scene where she's peering into the hole in the toilet. Honestly, this is probably the most restrained horror effort Michael Bay has ever put his name on.

P.S. I haven't sat down to watch S. The Exorcism of Emily Rose yet, but there isn't much overlap between the two. While the first film centers entirely on the exorcism itself, in The Unborn, that element is relegated to a much smaller part of the story.

Based on the Sudec po trailer, this looks worth checking out.

I actually downloaded it just because of the Sudec po trailer, but honestly? The movie itself is a letdown.

The first half of the trailer offers a much more accurate representation of the actual plot. In contrast, the latter portion ramps up the intensity and tension unnecessarily. That's a bit misleading, as the movie isn't actually an action flick; it's paced much more calmly and functions primarily as a drama.

As for the movie—it wasn't anything special. I mean, it beats stuff like *Hill Has Eyes 2* or *Wrong Turn*, sure... haha, but nothing groundbreaking. Though, one intense scene actually caused a couple of guys to pass out in the theater, and some girls started crying and bolted out... 🤣🤣

So, I did what everyone else did and watched the trailer.
Downloaded it, sat through it, and honestly? Just felt kind of meh. Nothing to write home about. ☕

They basically just cast some actress who looks like she walked straight out of an adult film just to bait people into watching
while everything else about it is absolute garbage...

This movie is such absolute garbage, it’s actually insane. I couldn't even make it to the end... gave up about two-thirds of the way through because it was just that bad.
