I just wanted to drop in for a moment to say thanks for starting this 30+ chat & coffee thread. It’s been about six months since our little group of lonely hearts and broken souls first gathered here, only to be cast aside and left even more isolated than before...

Though, I suppose I might not even have much of a say anymore. I haven't been around to comment much lately, and I probably haven't even stepped up to offer advice on other threads across the US. Still, I can't help but feel you've done a real disservice to a group of people who, during their loneliest moments, actually had some company and a reason to smile...

The moderator back then—I honestly can't recall the username—closed off the original 30+ thread and left us with this current one, under the strict rule that we shouldn't start any other topics. And we did our best to follow those rules...

I really hope this move wasn't motivated by anything personal regarding the esteemed crow jane. In the early days, specifically around page 11, she seemed to show quite a bit of hostility toward us. A few pages later (I think it was page 13), she actually agreed with her colleague at the time, but it feels like she's finally asserted her authority...

As for the Monsignor, he never even stepped foot in our thread, and he's perfectly free to wander through whatever topics he likes—thankfully, there are plenty to choose from...

I would truly appreciate it if someone could provide a more reasoned and clear explanation as to why such drastic measures were taken and why we are being punished like this. Is it because we were insulting others, or is it simply because we managed to find a small corner where we felt accepted and, for once, somewhat happy?

Once again, thank you for making us feel even more isolated and unwelcome than we already felt. It is truly evident that this platform is designed to help people feel less alone and assist them in finding their place in the world...

As for everyone else, please, make sure you don't go looking for your place. Just trust that others know exactly where you belong better than you do. Just ask them, and they will point you in the right direction; there's really no need for you to bother yourselves with such things...

Just so everyone knows, there are about 15 of us here, which is actually a decent turnout compared to those other dead threads. I’m asking that you please take our complaints seriously 😢

That space belongs on this US forum because that's where the community lived... and it's the only place where it actually served its purpose...

I honestly don't get it, nor can I see any objective reason for moving 30+, chat & coffee, which is literally defined as a chat topic—it exists specifically so people can talk!
All this talk about off-topic posts, DiK, or whatever else just doesn't fly with me. Every forum section has its own vibe. We can all jump over to the US, KI, movies, or politics sections, but when I visit the US section, I know exactly what the deal is and what I'm supposed to post there.
Some people might find our 30+ section pointless, but it certainly isn't to us! People come here for their own reasons—to let a > relax a bit and have some fun while dealing with their specific life struggles and a >!
I really don't know who would find that problematic...

It’s been almost a year since I went through that whole mess—ending a long-term relationship—and back then, I came here looking for some kind of comfort or advice. I just couldn't bring myself to talk to my actual friends or anyone I knew personally about it. It felt easier, I guess, to just swap stories and vent to strangers who eventually turned into acquaintances, and honestly, some even became real friends. But the best part? The person I spent all that time talking to right here on this forum ended up becoming my best friend, and then we actually started dating... If it wasn't for this thread, we probably never would have crossed paths at the right time. This space really belongs on the US internet; it helps so many people, just like it helped me and so many others in this community...
