Laura Castillo7 said:Yeah, when I was switching out tampons, they told me to just use Q-tips. Just gently pull out whatever’s bothering you. Honestly, I was terrified I’d hurt myself too—totally get it—but you get the hang of it eventually. Those swabs were a lifesaver for me because pads don't really help with this stuff.

The issue is everything feels pretty dried up right now. I've been using Aquaphor and waiting for things to loosen up so I can actually clean it out, but nothing's working. I'm low-key worried even that won't be enough to clear it all out.🤷

thanks 🙂
In my case, it feels like mine didn't give way until the two-month mark—though, honestly, I can't be entirely certain...

Chloe Fox60 said:I have such a weird nose... I feel like my tip is way too bulbous (not sure how you guys say that in English lol), and since it points upward and has those little "bumps" on the sides, it looks kind of crooked :_ plus the bridge of my nose is thinner and even just a tiny bit humped :_
Would an operation for a nose like this be considered one of the harder ones or an easier one?
thanksssss ^^
(hope you guys understood my silly description _._)

The major surgeries are when they actually have to break the nasal bones or make incisions on the nose—at least, that's how I see it—whereas smaller procedures would be things like narrowing the tip or smoothing out a hump.
For the minor stuff, they usually recommend local anesthesia.

Hey everyone, does anyone actually know what the damage is for this surgery? How much is this going to set me back?

The real issue is that everything has already dried up so much—it's practically petrified at this point. I’ve been applying some WD-40 and just waiting around for it to actually dissolve so I can get in there and clean it out, but honestly, it’s barely making a dent. I'm starting to worry that even the solvent isn't going to be enough to clear this mess. 🤷

Didn't he tell you he was applying some kind of ointment to the wound? I was constantly slathering mine on—I never wanted it feeling dry—though, to be fair, I didn't have any actual bleeding, so there wasn't really anything to scab over in the first place.

Ugh, I honestly don't know what to do anymore—I've been obsessing way too much about my nose lately. It’s always bothered me and I’ve been struggling with it for years, but now it’s just driving me crazy. I've decided I finally need surgery, but the money just isn't there right now. If anyone has any advice, please let me know. Thanks in advance.

Nah, they didn't give me any ointment.
They just mentioned I could use Aqamaris, but that’s basically nothing.
It’s not like I was bleeding heavily or anything, but after I take the tampon out, there's still a bit of spotting and leftover blood from my nose, and it's started to crust up.
Whatever, though—I'm sure everything will clear up this Friday once they take the mold off.
Anyway, how long has it been since your surgery? Are you totally happy with the results?

Look, I can't really give you specific advice or tell you to "just stop worrying"—because I've been exactly where you are. I wasn't happy with how I looked either, so once I landed a job and saved up enough, I went through with the surgery. That's really all I can say—I just hope you get to your "time" soon so you can finally do this for yourself, especially if it'll make you happy.🙂

Hey ladies. So, I’ve finally decided to go through with nose surgery. I’m scheduled for a consultation on April 28th with the specialist. Has anyone here actually seen him before? What’s his vibe? I’ve been debating this for such a long time now, and honestly, why wait any longer if it's something I want this badly? Also, does anyone happen to know how many days it usually takes before they take the splint off?

The cast comes off after one week.

wanderingangler8 said:No, I didn't get any ointment.
They just told me I could use Aqamaris, but that’s hardly a solution.
It isn't like I was hemorrhaging—nothing extreme—but after removing the tampon, there's still some lingering spotting and dried blood from my nose. It's quite a mess.
It's fine, though; I assume everything will clear up once they remove the splints this Friday.
By the way, how long has it been since your surgery? Are you completely satisfied with the results?

My two-month follow-up is coming up on May 3rd. And yes, I am happy with it. To be honest, I spent a lot of time worrying about potential lumps or irregularities, but if nothing has surfaced by now, I'm choosing to believe nothing ever will. Everyone tells me I look adorable and that this new profile suits me much better than the old one.

Thanks to the lady who replied to my question. I'm just wondering if everyone ends up with those little bumps after surgery, or...🤷

I was terrified there might be some weird lumps or something, but if nothing's popped up by now, I'm assuming I'm in the clear. Plus, everyone keeps telling me how cute I look—apparently this nose fits my face way better than the old one.

Glad to hear it—really hoping everything stays on this track.👍

Good grief—that's insane. I thought a rhinoplasty was usually around 7,000 to 11,000 tops.

I called a few clinics and 911... $0.00 That’s the lowest price I've seen, but I can't tell if it's just a cosmetic fix... maybe that makes it cheaper... 🙂

Well, I suppose it’s my turn to share what I’ve been going through.
I had surgery about two months ago, and now I'm dealing with two different lumps—one right on the bone and another one that just popped up last week. So, it looks like I’m headed back into surgery, too. Does anyone happen to know what a private consultation might run me—for instance, at a specialist like Dr. Miller's office?

😕 So, who performed your surgery? What did the doctor say? I believe it was $50, and I am heading in for my follow-up soon...

I underwent surgery just two months ago, and now I’m dealing with two different lumps—one located right on the bone and another one that just popped up last week. It looks like I’m headed back into the operating room all over again. Does anyone happen to know what the going rate is for a private consultation, perhaps with a specialist in a major city like Chicago?

Is it actually visible to the naked eye?
