Like I already said, his hallways are packed with people regardless of what you losers on this forum think. I just stated my opinion and shut down the rumors. Anyway, peace out. :-)

Now you've got a report for harassment.☕

swifteagle16 said:Hey there, everyone! Just wanted to drop in and say hello... hope you're all having a wonderful day so far!

I’m jumping into this thread for the very first time—I suppose I should introduce myself... I'm just another person who has been feeling pretty unhappy with my nose, and after a long period of weighing everything up, I've finally decided to take the plunge and actually look into surgery. I've already got a consultation scheduled with Dr. Glumičić, so we'll see what his take is on the situation...
I’ve been scrolling through this entire thread—just absorbing all the different names and surgeons being tossed around—and I couldn't help but notice something rather curious... it seems like Dr. Zdenko Stanec is rarely mentioned at all, if he's mentioned at all... which feels a bit odd, don't you think? Zdenko Stanec... now there's a name that always seems to spark a bit of a conversation, doesn't it? It’s funny how certain names just linger in the back of your mind—almost like a melody you can't quite shake—and I find myself wondering what everyone else thinks about him today... though I suppose we all have our own theories, don't we? He actually serves as the department head over at the Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Clinic at the Mayo Clinic—but he also runs his own private practice, EDUMED... which he operates alongside his wife...

I was wondering if anyone here might have some firsthand experience or perhaps a few stories to share regarding that specific clinic... I've been looking into them lately—just doing my due diligence, you know how it goes—and I'm curious to hear what people actually think once they've walked through the doors... EDUMED... well, I suppose that’s where we start, isn't it? It’s one of those names that just sticks in your mind—sort of like a catchy jingle you can't quite shake—but when you actually sit down to look into what they offer, things get a bit more... nuanced, shall we say? I was thinking about it the other day while sipping my coffee—it was one of those perfect, crisp mornings in Seattle—and I realized how much our perception of these institutions can shift depending on the context... anyway, I digress. If you're looking into EDUMED, you really have to take the time to dig beneath the surface... it's not always as straightforward as the initial glance suggests... And what about Dr. Zdenko Stanec? ...

I was just thinking about a colleague of mine—someone I’ve worked with for quite some time now—who recently went through a really intense health battle... she was diagnosed with breast cancer, and it was just one of those situations where the doctors had to be incredibly thorough. They ended up having to perform a major surgery to remove both the breast and the underlying muscle tissue... It’s such a heavy thing to process, you know? To go through something that transformative... life really does throw these unexpected curves at you sometimes...
It’s been about five months now since she got her new Chevy... turns out, having a fresh ride changes everything—well, maybe just my perspective on it...😁 Well, I was just thinking about what happened with Zdenko Stanec... she looks absolutely incredible after her procedure—really stunning—and she’s feeling so confident about the results that she actually mentioned getting a tattoo! She wants to get his signature tattooed... you know, just as a little tribute to show everyone whose hands actually did the work... like a permanent "Made by Dr. Stanec" mark... it's such a sweet, quirky sentiment, really... 😁 Ugh, she is just absolutely thrilled with herself... honestly... there you have it.

About five months ago, she finally had her reconstruction done 😁with Zdenko Stanec, and honestly, it looks incredible. She feels so much more like herself now... she even mentioned wanting to get a tattoo of his signature, you know, like a little "made by Dr. Stanec" tribute... 😁Anyway, she couldn't be happier with the results. So yeah...

Does anyone know how to actually get an appointment with him at the hospital? Do you need a formal referral from a primary doctor first, or can you just give them a call? If anyone has any insight, please let me know...

If you're going through your insurance, you'll need a referral... if you want to go private, just give them a call and schedule a consultation.🤷

Donna White6 said:Does anyone have a lead on what Ostojić, Bastaić, or Tončić charge for cosmetic work? They're my top picks—just trying to get a ballpark figure before I commit.

I went to Ostojić—paid $11,500 for general anesthesia. If you go with local, it’s $9,500.

Do I actually get a choice in which surgeon I work with, or is it just whoever they assign to me? And honestly... are you happy with how your new nose turned out? I'm also wondering if the price fluctuates based on how complex the procedure is, or if it's just a flat rate for everyone... Sorry, I know I'm being a bit much, truly... It's just that I am so incredibly ready to finally get this nose job, but I haven't quite settled on a doctor yet...

It seems like we’re seeing more and more people opting for rhinoplasty these days. Does that mean the procedure isn't quite as risky as it used to be? I’m actually planning to undergo surgery this coming fall or winter, so I can't help but wonder—just how safe is the whole process really?

Sorry for being annoying—I’m seriously looking into getting a rhinoplasty but haven't picked a doctor yet.

I'm pretty sure you can pick... I told the doc I was terrified, so he suggested general anesthesia right away.
Happy? Yeah, but honestly, I think he could've done a better job.. He took out the bump and lifted the tip, but made it look kind of flat.. It's missing that slight dip you see on those perfect noses.🤷

I think the price stays the same regardless of how complex the procedure is.. You should probably double-check directly with the clinic though..

Ask whatever you need.. I know every little bit of info helps—I actually pulled the trigger on my own surgery because of what people shared on forums like this.😁

Every surgery carries some level of risk—period. When I first sat down for my consultation, the doctor was straight with me: every procedure comes with its own set of risks.
That said, these have basically become routine procedures nowadays, and that’s how they’re handled. As for whether that’s a good thing or not—honestly, I think it’s up to the patient to weigh that out for themselves.

Are you happy with the results? Well, yes, but I feel like they could have handled things much better... They removed my bump and lifted my nose, but it ended up looking quite flat... It lacks that soft, subtle curve that makes a nose look truly perfect...🤷

I honestly believe the price stays about the same regardless of how complex the surgery is... You really should call the clinic to double-check...

Just ask anything you need to know... I know how much every little bit of info helps, because it was actually reading stories on forums like this that finally made me decide to go through with it...😁

The thought of general anesthesia scares me to death, so if I had to pick, I'd definitely go with local... How long is the wait for an appointment? And how many days did you have to stay there? I'm still saving up my money, hoping maybe to get it done by winter. The hardest part right now is just deciding which surgeon to trust... I’d prefer a hospital setting, but there aren't many people here who have been to one, so I'm just lost on what that would even be like in the end. Honestly, my nose is pretty much beyond saving at this point...🤣Please, let us know how everything goes... how did you eventually decide on your surgeon?🙂

If you don't mind me asking, could you tell me exactly which doctor you saw?

And if you happen to have any other helpful insights or thoughts regarding them...?

I had my consultations on April 6th and was already operated on by April 17th. The doctor actually called me because some girl backed out of her breast augmentation, so I jumped in on that slot..
How did I pick him? Well, once I started browsing the forums, Smith was always the first option that popped up. Even after seeing some negative comments and bad experiences, I ended up pulling the trigger with him anyway... and honestly, I can't say I regret it. It's been about two and a half months since the surgery. No lumps or anything weird, but man, I was swollen for a long time—just under two months. Not sure if that depends on how intense the procedure is or just skin type, but that was my experience. Anyway, I feel like my old self again.

Dr. Smith, like I mentioned in my previous post..

Anything else useful about them? For me, everything was fine—it's just that when I went back for the follow-up, I got this vibe that she just wanted me out of the office as fast as possible. I actually heard a similar story from a friend who had surgery with Dr. Tony... maybe we're just being overly sensitive or something..🤷

Some extra info on that—it was fine with me, honestly... I just didn't love the vibe when I went in for the follow-up. Felt like he just wanted me out of his office ASAP. I heard the same thing from a friend who had surgery with Dr. Tony too... maybe we're all just being overly sensitive?🤷

I think the bottom line is whether you're actually happy with how everything turned out and your "new nose." 🙂 wanderingangler8: Are you happy with your nose now? Did they just fix the bump, or did they do more than that? (Personally, I’d need way more work done, especially narrowing the tip and lifting it a bit.)

He smoothed out the bump and lifted my nose just a bit—didn't touch the tip, though.

Hey, I read that you were swollen for nearly two months. I'm at the month and a half mark (6 weeks) today, and my nose is still swollen. If you don't know what to look for, you won't notice, but trust me, I see it. 😕
It actually comforted me a bit to hear how much better you're doing now, especially since you mentioned you didn't deal with much pain or bruising. My bruises stuck around for a month, and I'm still dealing with these faint gray circles under my eyes. 😠
Anyway, I hope you're happy with your nose, and thanks for sharing—it makes me feel a little better!😍

Best,👋

p.s. go with general anesthesia. It's great. You wake up, and it's all over before you know it. 😉

Hey! I'm new here. It's been 6 days since my nose surgery. Since my nose is still pretty stuffed up, I was wondering if it's actually okay to blow my nose yet? 🙂

Don't bother blowing your nose. Just use those drops that clear everything out... whatever needs to come out, let it happen. 😁 And they even use those nasal swabs to clean themselves out. 😉

If anyone knows, I need an answer😉
If I decide to go through with surgery under local anesthesia, what kind of checkups do I need to get done beforehand?🤷
thanks😉
