First things first, you can't be going around making clones of yourself. That alone kind of ruins your whole vibe.

Maybe they're just some high-profile forum regular who’s too proud to admit they actually have an itch for a moderator role. 😁

People will tell you that you need to be tight with the current Moderators to get picked for the job.

Let me tell you, all that talk is complete nonsense.

The truth is, you could be a total clown, you could have ten thousand posts that are nothing but mindless chatter, or you could rack up warnings and bans left and right—you could still end up as a Moderator. On the flip side, someone might not have even touched the specific subforum they’re applying for in over a year, yet they somehow land the role anyway. We see plenty of examples like that on this site.

So, look, your post count doesn't actually matter. If you've got the ambition, just make sure you build some actual rapport with the existing Moderators on this board.

P.S. Just one thing: once you actually get the position, don't let it go to your head. Don't start acting like a know-it-all or pretending you're some kind of big shot who earned a throne. I honestly don't think you'd want that kind of headache, especially with a woman's perspective on things. I used to run the show as the CEO of an old vBulletin forum back when the license was still active, and I currently manage my own phpBB3 site, so from my experience, I'd suggest aiming for the top spot rather than settling for a Moderator role.🙂
