What is he supposed to do in thirty seconds? Invent hot water? These guys have been playing together for a decade; they already know their jobs. A coach sets the strategy and preps the squad during practice, not during a timeout. He can sit there and stay quiet if he wants, because shouting whatever nonsense comes to mind isn't going to change anything. At most, he can yell to motivate them—even if it's total gibberish, sometimes you just need that psychological push. A timeout isn't some freaking seminar; it's thirty seconds of yelling, and let's be real, nobody actually follows those instructions anyway since this isn't a game of chess, for God's sake.
