Sean Gonzalez95 said:And so what? Honestly! What's the big deal?😳They played a truly world-class game earlier on—absolute perfection, really—but I think they just completely emptied the tank too early. They left nothing in reserve for the finals against the Spaniards, who basically tore us apart once we were running on fumes. Honestly, if you ask me, even the way the French team performed back then was just as lackluster... it’s hard to imagine anyone playing that poorly!

I honestly have to wonder—did we even watch the same game? It feels like I was watching one broadcast while everyone else was tuned into something completely different! 😉 The Americans played an absolutely stellar game—truly top-tier stuff—but what I’m really getting at here isn't just the score or the stats; it's the sheer, unadulterated beauty of the matchup itself. It was a masterpiece from both sides! You know, like when you see two heavyweight boxers dancing around the ring in perfect rhythm—it’s not just about the punches thrown, but the elegance of the movement. Both teams brought that kind of grace to the court today. Just pure, beautiful competition on both ends of the floor!

It really gets under my skin—honestly, it’s enough to drive a person up the wall—this constant, relentless whining about how we’re always burning all our energy on "meaningless" games, only to show up completely gassed when the championship playoffs actually roll around! It's like... imagine if a marathon runner spent all their training cycles sprinting uphill in short bursts during the off-season, and then acted shocked when they couldn't find their second wind during the actual race. You can't just complain about being exhausted by the grind—it's part of the game!—and then act surprised when the fatigue catches up to you during the big moments. It's a cycle, really—a repetitive, frustrating loop of self-inflicted exhaustion that people just love to moan about. 🤷 Look, even the other guys get worn out—it’s just basic human nature! They’re operating on the exact same rhythm and tempo that we are. Honestly, pointing that out doesn't really hold any water as an argument—it's like saying you can't complain about being hungry just because the guy next to you is also looking for a snack. It simply isn't a valid point!

Look, at the end of the day, this whole run was a massive win regardless of how the championship game turns out. Let's get real for a second here. Right now, our roster is basically just one half-fit superstar like Balic, a couple of elite players who are playing through injuries and aren't even at their best like Metlicica and Laco, and... well, that's pretty much it. Everything else we've got is just mediocre filler.

Hold up a second... I’m pretty sure we had the thinnest roster I can ever remember back when we played Tunis... and this was a semifinal, which is huge. How can anyone say a semifinal isn't important? Like, seriously? If you recall, earlier in the second round, we were playing for our lives against the Mexicans just to stay in the running... and then we ran into those same Spaniards from the group stage. They had way more depth on their bench than we did back then, and that’s exactly what ended up making all the difference in the end...

...it honestly blows my mind how some people here can find a reason to start a fight even when things are going this well🙂...but hey, if you can't laugh at the absurdity, what's the point?

...huge props to our guys, though. They absolutely crushed it in this basketball game...fingers crossed for them tomorrow in the finals...

This was a semifinal, for heaven's sake! How could anyone call a semifinal "unimportant"? It’s absolutely vital! And if you recall, back in the second round, we were practically playing for our lives against the Mexicans just to stay in the running. We ran into those same Spaniards in the group stage too, and honestly, their depth was miles ahead of ours back then—which, looking back, ended up being the deciding factor in everything.

Well, I was just making a general point about all the comments regarding fatigue—everyone gets tired, you know? It isn't just us.

And please, don't even get me started on the Mexicans. 😉Games against them are always about so much more than just the score on the board.

By the way, what happened to the Spaniards? They took bronze in Atlanta and gold in Tunis... did I somehow miss a chapter in this saga?

And they really want me to believe Lino is some kind of authority? I mean, come on. What coach—let alone a national team head coach—would actually let a player take the reins and start calling the plays during a crucial timeout when you need to set up that next big offensive drive? 😵 Or maybe the players just weren't ready to head back to the locker room at halftime? 😵

Sandra Wilson38 said:Give me a break, don't start with that patriotic nonsense right now.🙄 Let's hear all those tired clichés about how anyone questioning him is somehow attacking our national interests or being "against America.":roll eyes: Who is actually saying that? I am strictly discussing his current competence as an NBA expert. My point remains that anyone could be in his position at this championship, and our top players would produce the exact same results.

Blah blah... whining... whining... "our top players"... you'll be the first one crying when they lose tomorrow. Listen to her, still going on about it. It's madness.

What are you even talking about? Stop bluffing. Who is actually making those claims? Spare me the garbage like, "if you aren't for Lin, you aren't for America."

Total nonsense...🤮

The point here is that America is full of smart-alecks like you who are always looking for an excuse to act superior.

You are talking exclusively about his competence... you...🙂. What do you know about the NBA? You watched a couple of games. Vauu... give me a break. What do you know about basketball? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Get lost.

just imagine some of our "expert" forum gurus bumping into Bengt Johansson while he’s strolling along the coast this summer... man, that conversation would go something like this... hey buddy, look, everything you say is fine and dandy, but you just don't get it, you know? how on earth could you blow three Olympic finals like that? i mean, with the lineup we had, I would've walked away with at least two of those gold medals... and if you actually gave the coach a chance to chime in, like letting someone like Olsson or Wislander have a word... nah, no way... in that setup, you're the only one allowed to open your mouth... they'd probably think I was some kind of deity if I were actually the coach😁

When I said "if they lose tomorrow," I was being figurative. I meant at some point down the line when they eventually lose.🤣

They'll win tomorrow..🙂

Brand, the German coach... on almost every single timeout, Baur tells them exactly what to do... that's it. Don't start a fight. Lino, much respect to you, America loves you!

And that play he cooked up? That move involving Vori and Balić? That’s the perfect answer for all the armchair experts talking nonsense... like you. 👎👎🤣🤣🤣: rofl:🤣

Unbelievable.
We aren't dealing with a bunch of sixteen-year-old kids who need a coach they can just blindly obey.
There isn't a single coach like that in the US or anywhere else, for that matter.
Besides, that's just not how things work with Americans. The best ones are elite motivators, not these authoritarian dictators.
Go ahead, name one coach who could ever exert real authority over someone like Balić, who basically invented the modern game for all of them? (Apparently, by "authority," you people think players just stare at the floor in awe whenever a coach comes up with a genius tactical idea)

At the end of the day, America is winning with Lino leading the charge, so feel free to keep beating your heads against the wall if it makes you feel better.👍
