Look, she was totally Hit.In back when Buffy the Vampire Slayer was at its peak. Once she decided to ditch the show for movies, her popularity just tanked immediately... though I guess she still has potential. She looks incredible in these photos, but if you ask me, she probably needs to put on a few pounds.😉))

I watched The Air I Breathe and it wasn't even that great; she basically just spends half the movie crying.

Look, Sarah Michelle Gellar was absolute perfection in Buffy the Vampire Slayer—but ever since she left the show for Hollywood movies, she’s been kind of a lot, you know? Not that I don't still totally stan her, though.
Man, if only I actually owned some seasons of Buffy

To be honest, she wasn't even my favorite in Buffy,
I actually had a huge crush on her in I Know What You Did Last Summer—she played that classic Miss Teen USA victim type perfectly. Then she moved into Cruel Intentions,
where she was the ultimate bitch. Those were just the quintessential teen hits of the 90s, and if you ask me, that was really the peak of her career.

I'm with you on that.👍 After that, she kind of faded into obscurity after a few flops that just didn't land. 👎But man, you couldn't help but watch whatever she was in if she was the lead.

But as for The Air I Breathe, the movie is great—it has an excellent plot, especially the performances by Sarah Michelle Gellar and Forest Whitaker, which critics actually agreed on... the film has a cohesive thread; maybe watch it again and then you'll finally get it.

I don't buy it—there was already a Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie back in '92 where Kristy Swanson played the lead. She's the OG Buffy, and the show is really just a remake starring Sarah Michelle Gellar. From what I've read in the comments, the movie didn't hit nearly as hard as the series did. I know "Simply Irresistible" is out there—it’s a cute enough movie, I guess. To be honest, I can't quite decide if it's worth sitting down to watch right now. When I saw it before, it was just okay.
Like I mentioned before, I don't think she's a bad actress at all. Given where she is in her career peak, I’m definitely expecting to see much more from her moving forward.

I know the US title is Simply Irresistible—it's a cute flick. I can't remember if I actually watched it or just thought about it, but it was fine,
and like I said before, she's not a bad actress—so I'm hoping for something better during her career peak.

I highly doubt she'll ever top what she's already done
her career peak was definitely Buffy and I don't see her ever hitting those kinds of heights again after that series role.

What I was trying to say was more about being hopeful, because I truly believe she's a talented actress,
but that role in Buffy the Vampire Slayer seems to have cast such a long shadow over her. Plus, she has that classic All-American look, which can be a bit of a double-edged sword when you're trying to land diverse roles. It almost feels limiting.

As for Simply Irresistible, I guess it’s okay—kind of funny, decent acting, and a cute plot... it just gets a bit too cheesy for my taste. But man, The Air i Breathe, The Return (which is such a gripping thriller, honestly!!!), Possession (a new thriller I caught, though it hasn't even hit US DVD shelves yet), and Southland Tales (definitely misunderstood, really just for a niche audience since it's so weird, which is typical for Richard Kelly, the director behind Donnie Darko) are all excellent films!
I have pretty high expectations for her new movie Veronika Decides to Die, the series The Wonderful Maladys—which is an HBO production, so that says a lot about the quality!!!—and the latest Marlowe where she stars alongside Juda Low!
