Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol (2011)

Personally, I find the Mission: Impossible trilogy to be such a fantastic, high-octane blast of pure cinematic fun, so I’m definitely counting down the days until this new installment hits theaters—even if I wouldn't exactly call myself a die-hard Tom Cruise fan. There’s been some juicy chatter lately suggesting that someone else might actually step up to take the reins from him in future sequels if this one performs well at the box office, but hey, we'll just have to wait and see how it all unfolds!

And yeah, I have to admit, the choice for director feels a little bit out of left field... though, honestly, this is the kind of franchise where you can't really go wrong, because I feel like there's so much potential for anyone to jump in and bring this specific type of story to life.

On a brighter note, it makes me so happy to see that Simon Pegg is coming back for the ride!

The movie looks super promising, but I honestly think it’s gonna get crushed at the box office by Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked and Sherlock Holmes 2 opening the weekend right after... It’s such a bummer they didn't just aim for a November or maybe a spring release instead.

Seems like it’ll be a solid one—honestly, I dig pretty much all the MI movies—but man, these constant car commercials are driving me absolutely insane. This is gonna be just another BMW flick, kind of like how the Iron Man Audi thing happened or how Hawaii Five-O was basically a Chevrolet commercial... seriously, what a joke.

The trailer looks pretty promising; I’m really hoping the actual movie lives up to the hype. It honestly seems way better than Mission: Impossible III.

This one’s going to be a masterpiece... while the new Bond tries way too hard to be all dark and depressed, Mission: Impossible is absolutely killing it...

Initial reactions to the movie are looking better than positive. It’s currently sitting at 92% on Rotten Tomatoes.

I caught it yesterday—it’s a solid enough film. It’s obviously nowhere near the quality of the first one, but Brad Bird did a decent job with what he had. Two hours of pure spectacle and mindless fun.

Did Cruise actually 'demolish' any Catholic or Orthodox church in the movie? 😁

Watched the movie yesterday. It’s good. There's a small supporting role played by an American actor, and then this guy from the US gets way more screen time (insane, confusing, weird).

Can you even imagine these guys showing up in an impossible show? 😁 Maybe just a thought.
