Tomov hair, just like in Mission: Impossible 2, adds at least +30% awesomeness to the movie😁

The film is decent enough; it isn't exactly a masterpiece, but I suppose it serves as quite pleasant entertainment, and it's certainly among the better action thrillers I've seen lately.

I haven’t sat down to watch it yet, but it seems clear they are attempting to mold Ethan Hunt into a new James Bond, complete with even more high-tech gadgets, and frankly, it’s irritating. My preference would be for a film—perhaps even within the James Bond franchise itself—where the agent executes his mission through calculated moves, mystery, and elegance rather than sheer noise. I want a story built on a rock-solid foundation, where the plot takes center stage instead of prioritizing mindless explosions and senseless action sequences.

Just finished watching it... I went in without any major expectations, but man, it turned out to be absolutely fantastic!!! 🙂 They really nailed it this time, especially after what I personally felt were two pretty lousy sequels. And oh my god, the theater was practically cracking up at the start when that one actor showed up on screen, and again later when they started talking about the US political landscape.... anyway, all things considered, I highly recommend it!

So, I just walked out of the theater and honestly... image

That movie was absolutely brilliant!! .. I’d give it a 10/10 🙏
I’ve always been a fan of Tom Cruise as an actor, and he definitely didn't let me down this time either 😁 There was plenty of action, some great humor... they really hit the mark 👍
The whole cast was fantastic 😍 .. Tom and that other agent have great physiques 🤣 ..and the redhead was just hilarious xD

And YES ..the supporting cast was so cool ..and they even mentioned America THREE times 😂

Man, I am just thrilled with the movie, and the entire cast was wonderful! 🥳

@ mistybear522
it was pure comedy when that character started laughing 😬

DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED! 😉

What’s the IMAX experience actually like?

Not really.😢
Save your $5.00, you aren't missing anything.

I don't know, personally I'm totally fine with it. Honestly, I’d much rather shell out an extra $20 to see a movie in IMAX at my local AMC Theatres (regardless of whether it’s the "real" deal or not) because I can actually feel the difference. It's not like those extra $5.00 are going to break the bank, especially since I only hit up IMAX or the theater in general maybe two or three times a year max.
But hey, at the end of the day, it's all about what you like.

But hey, that's just your take on it—I feel like running some actual polls would give us a much better idea of what everyone really thinks. ☕

You can find it on the torrent sites, but honestly, it’s probably not worth your while for another few weeks since everything out there right now is just a cam version.

Just finished watching it... It isn't half bad—definitely a step up from the previous two entries... A pleasant enough two hours of entertainment... Honestly, I didn't have particularly high expectations after those last two installments, so perhaps that’s why the impression is even better than expected...

Four 😉 ..he's even dancing now 😬

A solid action thriller. Maybe a little too obsessed with James Bond and high-tech toys—but hey, I guess that’s becoming the signature move for the Mission: Impossible series anyway. You can't fault the carnage, the explosions, or the cars flying everywhere (honestly, all those BMWs with regular engines got trashed... the i8 is way too precious for that 😁)
I’m glad they didn't lean so hard on the whole "masking" trope this time around. Trying to top the disguises from Mission: Impossible III would have been a massive stretch.

Pulling off a villainous role as good as what Hoffman did in Mission: Impossible III is a tall order, so it makes sense why the main bad guy isn't front and center this time.

I just went back for a second viewing in IMAX solely to soak up the visuals... honestly, what can I say? It was incredible. My throat still tightened during those sequences set on the Burj Khalifa.

And then I missed that one opportunity too... 😬
I mean, that guy is just... 😁 Absolutely brilliant. The whole group couldn't stop laughing for a good couple of minutes... 🤣 👍

Pulling off a villainous performance as compelling as Hoffman’s in Mission: Impossible III is no small feat. It makes sense that this time around, the antagonist isn't quite front and center...

Does anyone happen to remember the name of the actor who played the villain in this sequel? 🍿

That guy tends to play those kinds of roles quite often. And honestly, he’s really good at them... 🙏
That makes two movies in a single month that I’ve sat through only to realize they were total flops... 😁 😍

Wait, am I really the only one who actually digs Mission: Impossible 2? 🙂
I mean, sure, maybe it wasn't your typical Mission Impossible flick, but as an action opera by 😁, the guy was a total genius.

The first installment is an absolute classic, whereas the second one just didn't sit right with me at all... I simply cannot bridge the gap between that specific director's style and the essence of Mission: Impossible, though the third part is a solid action thriller, even if I wasn't quite as captivated by it as I was by this fourth entry. On another note, I can't help but feel a certain sense of loss that they didn't lean more heavily on the main Mission Impossible theme, given that it has been the unmistakable signature of the franchise since the original series back in the sixties... And then, of course, there's that whole business with lighting the fuse right at the very beginning 😁
Furthermore, I wanted to ask... I caught this at an AMC Theatres in one of those new Extreme cinema setups, yet I failed to notice any discernible difference compared to a standard projector... Did anyone else actually perceive a change?

Honestly, that's the exact reason why Mission: Impossible 2 gets such a bad rap—people judge it solely as part of the franchise instead of just treating it like a solid action thriller on its own.

I also wanted to mention that I kind of miss how they didn't lean into the classic Mission Impossible theme more often.

Wait, seriously? It's not even in there? Man...😢

Michael Nyqvist :guglolmajti: 😁 ..don't know his name off the top of my head, but I gotta say the role itself felt pretty shallow—they didn't give him much character depth, and the script just didn't leave much room for him to work with.

I’m checking out Ebert's review right now and he's actually doubting if Tom Cruise was really on the Burj Khalifa himself. He thinks there's zero chance a guy in his 50s could pull off 😁
. FFS, now I seriously have to go watch this movie...
