My eye's been twitching for five days now. It happens like every five seconds. 😒
Why does this happen 😒Is it even normal, I mean, is it supposed to twitch? 😒Do I need to see a doctor? I really hate this sensation. 😠I couldn't even finish my book yesterday because the twitching was so bad. It's my right eye. πŸ™‚

I deal with this more often than I’d like to admit. One stretch actually dragged on for three months, and I honestly thought I was going to lose my mind😁 Anyway, for me, it’s just pure nervous exhaustion from staring at screens and reading all day. It isn't anything life-threatening, but it is incredibly irritating😁

My eye used to twitch all the time too. Turns out it was just stress, burnout, and staring at my monitor way too much. A doctor put me on some B vitamins and told me to actually get some sleep. πŸ™‚

So I guess I’ll have to quit spending all my time on the computer 😒 πŸ‘Ž
My eyelid isn't even twitchingβ€”it's more like the skin right under my eye is pulsing, but obviously, it's just because I'm totally burnt out 😒

First it's a twitch under the eye, next thing you know, your whole eyelid is jumping.πŸ˜‰ Get off the computer for a bit, take some actual breaks, and go grab some B vitamins.πŸ‘

How can you be so sure my eyelid is going to twitch again next time? πŸ™‚ What makes you think it’s inevitable?😒

Is there a reason why it twitches?😒 I suppose, is this actually normal? Should an eye be twitching like this?😒 Maybe I should see a doctor; I really don't enjoy this sensation.😠 Yesterday, I couldn't even manage to read a book because the twitching was so intense. It is my right eye.πŸ™‚

I have been dealing with some twitching lately as well, I guess.🀣

It isn't necessarily visible to others, but I can certainly feel this pulsing sensation.😁

I am honestly not sure what might be causing it.😳

But I have to admit, something pretty intense happens to me sometimes😒

It’s just that, out of nowhere, my vision starts getting all blurry. For about fifteen minutes or so, I can't seem to find a single point of focus, then everything in my peripheral vision goes fuzzy, and eventually, it passes. However, once it's over, I'm usually left with a nasty headache and this lingering sense of nausea.

😱

I mean, I doubt that'll happen to me, right? 😒 😒

Did you go see a doctor? Because that doesn't sound normal at all.😒

Well, I haven't 😳

I actually went ahead and started a topic regarding this matter several months ago, if I recall correctly. 😁

The other day at my office, I felt so incredibly nauseous that I turned pale and had to head home early. I didn't really start feeling any better until I managed to throw up and catch a quick nap. πŸ™„ 😁

Aside from things involving alcohol, I suppose the only other time I can remember being sick was once when I was a kid, and that was just from eating some bad ice cream.

Go see a doctor πŸ™‚

You need to go so you can let me know what's up, just so I can be ready 😳 😒

Oh, there is really no need to be concerned. 😘

I suppose we will all face it sooner or later.

TO William White2

Honestly, what can I even say? Just take the advice you've already received and go see an ophthalmologist.

It’s highly likely you have some sort of refractive error, and that peripheral flickering might mean you need astigmatism correction in your lenses. My mother went through something almost identicalβ€”even though she was already wearing glasses, it turned out she needed cylindrical correction on top of her existing prescription.
Until you get that sorted and grab a pair of glasses that actually aligns everything correctly, things aren't going to improve.

Of course, if it isn't a vision issue, there are a few chronic health conditions that can cause visual disturbances, but your best bet is to start with an eye doctor.

To the thread starter,
there is a strong chance this is just pure exhaustion and stress.
Taking occasional eye breaks while working at the computer can really help.
Generally speaking, it's smart to step away from the screen regularlyβ€”though I won't pretend I follow my own advice perfectly, as I deal with the occasional eye twitch myself.

I suppose there isn't much else one can say, other than perhaps you should take the advice you've already received and go see an ophthalmologist.

It is quite possible that you have some sort of refractive error, and given that peripheral flickering, you might actually need astigmatism correction in your lenses. My mother experienced something very similar even though she was already wearing glasses, and it turned out she needed cylindrical correction on top of her existing prescription.
And until you address thatβ€”meaning, until you get a pair of glasses that properly aligns everythingβ€”I suspect your vision won't improve.

Well, I can see perfectly fine when it doesn't catch me off guard, I guess.

Maybe it's ocular pressure. 😳

Well, nearsightedness is essentially just a lens defect, and it isn't really the kind of thing that fluctuates on a regular basis, so I guess I have my doubts about that theory.

I remember my eye used to have this slight, rhythmic twitching sensation once upon a time... I’m pretty sure I was down on the coast in Florida for a few days at the time, and honestly, it just resolved itself without me doing a single thing about it... so there's really no reason to stress out over it... the twitching will eventually settle back down 😎 😁

😒

Give me a break; it's not like you haven't done this 4,140 times already.β˜•

In all seriousness, I might head over to the eye doctor, and if I do, I'll let you know.
