Man, you could always tell which corner store would get the first shipment in town. I even went down to their headquarters once 🙂and gave them a piece of my mind because I never actually won that Joy Division flexi disc from their giveaway contest. It all ended on good terms, though. Truth be told, I never got the record, but I did get to grab a coffee with Vukojevica. 😎 Honestly, Dzuboks was the best music mag to ever come out of the old US territories. 🙂

Honestly?
It was pretty thin.
Look, everything else was fine—the guy’s got that old-school rocker charm in a pimp suit, plenty of experience, tons of miles under his belt... but the whole thing just lacked "that spark."
Was it just a lukewarm backing band, or was it him constantly stepping off the stage for a quick sip of Bacardi and a fresh aria? Maybe it was a lack of genuine connection instead of those rehearsed catchphrases, or perhaps just plain old tour fatigue setting in? I’d answer that the way Mujo would when someone asks if ignorance is worse than apathy:
"I don't know and I don't care."

I'm with you on that... for some reason, Andre woke up yesterday on such a massive attitude and just stayed that way all day...
Honestly, after seeing how he was acting before the show, I was actually worried he wouldn't even make it onto the stage. Man, age catches up to you and everyone’s got their own stuff going on in their heads. 🙄
It's a bummer because it felt like he was a completely different person when he was performing in Chicago...

Gaga—or Truch, if you want to be technical—says it was pretty much a letdown there, too...

Yeah.
Every now and then, for just a second or two, something magical would happen, and then it would vanish again.
The band was mediocre. The guitarist? Man. Only now do I realize how much he needed the Green Hornets; they could have actually made that work.

I drove him and Wulf to the hotel. He was pissed, an easy 9 out of 10.
He went on this long monologue about his manager (who also plays keys), some Dutchman guy:

'That little thief... absolute trash, he's gonna get a baseball bat to the face, that lowlife gray rat needs to be locked in a tiny wire cage and buried deep in the ground before someone pisses on him'... yeah, something like that.

Btw. Andre converted to Judaism a few years ago.

Oh, one more thing... we heard about 'that incident' backstage. Case closed.

Honestly, I never really trusted that guy despite all the hype, so I’m glad my gut told me to just stay home. Besides, if someone claims to be the "father of rap," you should probably hop in a time machine and take them out early—right after Hitler, of course. 😈
