We can take plenty of hits from the heavy hitters, but Morocco isn't going to touch us.🀣

You mean Argentina? 😁

Argentina is a much tougher squad than Morocco. Even though the Argentinians are heading to Germany 2007 without Gull, I still think they’re going to absolutely crush them in the battle for 21st place or whatever it is. 😁

Vance is being such a pessimist! It’s fine, though; everything happens for a reason. That makes six semifinals in a row. πŸ‘‹

We're going to get absolutely wrecked by Morocco, or maybe Korea, and if we actually manage to scrape our way through the second round, some other powerhouse will be waiting to tear us apart.

There’s way too much blind optimism floating around this team right now, and honestly? It’s misplaced. People are getting ahead of themselves, and if you ask me, it’s not going to end well.

Heh, there it is! That beautiful, classic pessimism finally showing up. Just when we need it most. Let’s goβ€”we’re rolling straight into the semifinals!

So, when are you actually going to start making threads for every single game? It feels like you’re just sitting around waiting to see who Leo decides to invite to the party before you bother posting anything. Seriously. Does anyone know what channel is airing the first round matches besides CBS? I’m stuck here in Munich without a ticket, so unless I come up with some genius plan, it looks like I’ll be glued to this forum just to follow the action.

Smith and Dominick are out.

David got flagged for some doping issueβ€”damn it, I haven't even heard the specifics yet.

😲 Dominick is out?? Are you kidding me? The guy is basically the trademark of our national team! I’m actually going to miss watching his clumsy, failed attempts at driving the lane...🀣
But hey, it is what it is. We are going to be absolutely gutted on defense without him, such a shame, Leo.πŸ‘Ž

Look, Leo didn't just write him off. The Spanish federation sent over a notice claiming he tested positive for something, and now our guys are playing it safe and staying away from any drama.

At this point, the only move left is to run a separate test immediatelyβ€”like, todayβ€”so we can have results on the table by tomorrow. That’s the plan, and it’s going to happen.

We'll find out soon enough if the Spaniards are just bluffing or if there's actually something to them.

If they’re making an error by including Dominick, then they're basically flagging all 20 players... what's the deadline to get those 16 registered for Saturday?

I’m thinking tomorrow.

So, who’s going to kick off a thread for Morocco? Any volunteers?

Even if the test comes back negative, there’s no way they wrap this up in a single day. We won't be counting on David until the second round rolls around.
If that heavyweight is juicing, then everything can just go straight to hell.
Honestly, I think our friends from Spain are just trying to shake us upβ€”to throw us off balance, as they say down in Miami. Screw them.😁

Someone wanna start a thread for Morocco? Who's up?

Pass. I won't be around for most of the games. Roger Allen3, you got any luck? This is huge now. Let whoever brings good vibes to the national team kick it off. : old D 2X:

Screw the Spaniards; we’re going to break them down one way or another.

It’s just a shame about David, though. He's playing out of his mind right now.

The Spaniards will surely get their wish, provided they don't end up tearing each other apart during the tournament instead. 😈

It’s absolutely critical that we decide who gets to kick off this thread. 😁

Let's just lay all the cards on the table right nowβ€”or maybe just dump the beans. I don't want anyone trying to sneak around or play games behind my back.

I don't think I've ever posted in the handball threads, but I totally messed up a soccer one earlier: oldD, that friendly match against the Spaniards..

Roger Allen3, I'm basically just trash myself.😬
Vance, you're actually better at spreading pessimism around hereβ€”keeps things balanced.😬
Maybe let some girl... I don't know, start a thread.😬

Man, the championship is right in our faces and we still haven't even decided who's starting the thread. We've spent 20 days just arguing about who's staying in NYC. : old David

Jelte, I suppose if I stepped out onto the balcony and judged based on the flight patterns of the pigeons, I might be able to figure out who fits best. πŸ˜• 😬

... Or maybe the Man from Maglaj could step up and score a few. Or maybe Sargent. Or even Tomlinson, just so we can give Ivanna a break.
...
... Honestly, I have no idea why Sargent isn't on this national team. Word on the street is that Puck would jump at the chance if Leo actually called him up.

Everyone seems to have totally forgotten about Miller.🀣

And what about ZagmeΕ‘tar? Or Arslan? Actually, you know what, I might just call Leo right nowβ€”maybe he'll take me on at the last minute! 😎

In my opinion, our biggest enemy is just how old some of these younger players are getting... Even a year ago, Bailey mentioned they feel like they're aging fast and struggling to keep up with the back-to-back game schedule. That's why it's so great that the bench is finally deeper; it means the leaders can actually get some rest.
