The underground dance scene was such a vibe, honestly—I just have a thing for women with curves.😍
Ubu is great too, I’ve always been a fan of people with some meat on their bones.

To underground dance scene was absolutely brilliant.. 👋 I honestly wasn't sure if they could actually pull off those studio tracks live, but I was pleasantly surprised. The drummer was top-tier, and the girl was fantastic—she handled everything from the melodic parts right up to those heavy death metal vocals perfectly. 😍 My only gripe is that I expected a bit more of a surreal vibe; they looked way too casual for music this intense.
And what’s the deal with all those piercings? 😲
As for Pere... I hadn't listened to him before, and after reading Laura Long5's description, I was a bit apprehensive, but he turned out alright. I wasn't a huge fan of the sound quality either; it felt a bit too heavy on the low end. 😬The bassist was actually quite charming, which was a sharp contrast to that moody, unapproachable Ubu. Honestly, my only regret was sitting there by myself outside the venue once it was over.

Look, I’m not trying to be overly harsh on the DJ, but honestly? He played the absolute worst track from Neutral Milk Hotel. 😠 Luckily, I was occupied in the restroom during that particular disaster.
Plus, I finally got to meet Elvis in person—he’s actually much more charming in real life than he is through a screen. 👋

So... 😵
Personally, I found Thomas actually quite likable and friendly—he had a genuine smile. I have no idea where everyone gets the impression he’s some angry jerk. I mean, he probably is in real life, but at the show, he didn't come across that way at all...

What are you even talking about? I spent so much time listening to the "God's Money" album that I basically built them up in my head as some kind of divine phenomenon. I kept imagining a stage packed with ten total weirdos, but instead, they turned out to be surprisingly decent performers. Honestly, I was half-convinced the vocals were just a sample they’d loop live at the show...
And as for Thomas, he didn't crack a smile once during the entire set—I have no idea where you got that impression. If anything, I found him more relatable when he was just sitting there in front of the underground dance scene with his head between his knees... 😬

I don't know, something about this just doesn't feel right to me 😬 I wouldn't let someone like that through the door 😬
And Thomas was smiling! He actually gave a genuine laugh while recounting how Wayne Kramer asked him to pen a punk anthem for the 21st century. Usually, the world looks a little brighter when I've had a few drinks, but in this case, I’m certain he was laughing... 🙂

Exactly. The first time I heard them, I immediately pictured some creepy doll shop where the toys come to life at midnight and start playing this kind of music.

I’m a huge fan of Guns N' Roses—they're my go-to—but there was just something missing from the live set tonight... maybe they're just better suited for a club than a massive stadium?
(And honestly... I didn't get nearly enough of that gritty, distorted guitar shredding I crave 🙂 ))

He was grinning—of course he was. There’s a law for smiling, I guess. Like a baby.
Marine, just endless rounds of drinks and good times 👋

(And honestly... there wasn't quite enough shredding on the guitar either 🙂 )
It’s true, though—they really feel more like a club band.
And hey, even in a smaller venue, she’d be close enough to make a real impression! 🙂 😬
Besides, you don't necessarily need all that flashy shredding on the guitar... just some solid rhythm, and I think they actually had plenty of that. 👋
And let's not be hard on Thomas! He's a poet, and poets are always a little bit of an anomaly in this world...

I guess you really don't have any standards, do you?😁

Hmm, let me think about that for a second...
I remember him absolutely losing it on his bandmates during the show at Madison Square Garden.
And honestly, I don't know how nobody else caught that peak moment during the gig, when they were playing one of those hits from their debut album (it was toward the end of the set).
Right after the song wrapped up, Thomas spun around to the guitarist and started yelling, "Go, go man! Start playing, right now!!!" (He basically wanted them to jump straight back into that same rhythm because the crowd was totally vibing).
The guitarist just looked lost and started fumbling around with his gear.
Thomas:
"Come on, man, start right now, RIGHT NOW!!!!"
Then the guy starts messing around again, and Thomas just waves his hand dismissively and snaps:
"AHHH, FUCK IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"😠 😠 😈
An angry jerk?
Not even slightly.😂

I mean, honestly, I’d probably drop a few bucks on her too, so what?😈 🙂

honestly, I thought the girl in the polka dot shirt over by the locker room was way cuter—op op!
