When I said our partnership wouldn't last much longer due to "objective reasons," I was honestly just venting because I was pissed off at what Goran wrote on another forum. He decided to air out some private business regarding his relationship with Mladen Jergović, and in that moment, it felt like splitting up might actually be the best move. Even though, personally—and as an editor—I’ve been really happy with those columns covering historical stuff, especially that one about NASCAR in the Appalachian Mountains and the whole story about Hunta and robot-controlled Formula 1...

Anyway, we’ve reached an agreement. Moving forward, Black Flag will truly focus more on those historical deep dives, and the drama between Dijaković-Jergović won't be mentioned in the magazine ever again, regardless of the context. That's the second and only condition for keeping the column alive in the mag. So, I want to publicly apologize to Goran Dijaković. My previous comment could have easily been taken as an official editorial decision to axe the column, but it was really just my own heated opinion in a moment of frustration. It was triggered by the way dirty laundry was being tossed around publicly—first in the magazine through a messy address to some unrefined readers, and then here on the forum...

Goran has apologized for the way he spoke, and I’m apologizing to him now for the same reasons. I’m hoping we can all just work together peacefully and do good things for the slim little niche that is Formula 1 media coverage in America.

Look, it might hit some stands as early as today, but you should see us on every newsstand in the country by tomorrow!

We’re kicking things off, obviously, with a massive season preview that takes up most of this issue (though, naturally, we’ve got plenty of other stuff going on too). We’re doing a deep dive into the top three favorites on the grid, and we’re taking a little trip down memory lane to those days when seasons used to kick off with January races over in the Southern Hemisphere. We actually have more pages than we did last year, so you'll have plenty to sink your teeth into...

Bad news on the technical side—we don't have a poster in this issue. And, man, I hate having to say this, but the price is going up by five bucks. It sucks, I know, but we had to do it; the math just wasn't adding up anymore without the adjustment.

You can always drop comments right here on the forums—that's what they're for, after all—but if you have any actual feedback or, better yet, suggestions, please Send them to our official email addresses. It makes it way easier for us to actually sit down and look into them properly...

They don't even bother sending me my magazines😢...it’s like they only ship them out once I call to nag them, and even then, I'm looking at a delay of several weeks. I'm giving them a call first thing tomorrow morning.😬
