mistybear87 said:$80 plus you snag a free gift set of men's grooming products (worth $100) or a digital breathalyzer (worth $49) 😉

if you bundle it with an EVO subscription, it'll run you $165 and you get Gran Turismo 5 for PlayStation 3 as a bonus 👍

on top of that, any subscription gets you a free Michelin tire tread gauge too

I was just flipping through the current issue of Motor Trend and I am totally lost on this whole breathalyzer thing 🤷
on the double-page spread about subscriptions, the left side mentions that breathalyzer, but then on the right side where they list the three different sub tiers, it’s not even listed for the $80 plan—it just shows the grooming kit. It's missing from the signup form entirely, too 😕

I might actually pull the trigger on a subscription... 😁
I’ve been scrolling through a few pieces—checked out that intro by stormyviper11 and that column about the Glock by Goran Djaković—and honestly? It feels real. No fluff, no sugar-coating, just straight talk. I dig that style. 🙏🙏

Quick question though: what's the absolute latest I can sign up if I want to make sure I'm on the list for the January issue?

When's the absolute latest I can sign up if I want to be included in the January issue?

There’s plenty of good stuff in there too... Like how Heidfeld was basically a wizard driving on intermediates while everyone else was on slics in that downpour, jumping seven spots in the final lap... and man, he didn't even bother defending those seven massive mistakes...
There's some interesting stuff to read... You should probably grab an Auto Club subscription too... 👍

There's definitely some interesting stuff to dig into... Maybe just subscribe to AAA instead... 👍

I cracked it open, saw a headline claiming "there was no conspiracy," skimmed a couple of lines, decided it wasn't worth my time $4.25, and tossed it right back on the rack 😛

Man, I totally forgot to check out the lifestyle section 😵

That’s honestly the best part of any magazine 😁

No, wait, hold on... you have to admit there’s also this killer feature where you can actually sketch out your dream car and send it in to get featured. I mean, I’d probably go absolutely ham with some pastels on that one!!! That part is awesome to me. 👍

I’ll probably breeze through pretty much the whole thing on my first day. Honestly, they really ought to pack in more pages because this feels way too thin for me.

I’m suing you for stealing my cover art! You’re literally using the same photo for your cover as I am for mine. 🙂

This is the last standalone issue of Motor Trend. The next one doesn't drop until March 15th, and you can grab it through EVO. Check the site. Personally, I'm into it. Saves me $8.25 a month 😁

shadowfox622 said:Well, it looks like we’ve reached the end of an era—this is officially the final standalone issue of Motor Trend. It’s a bit of a shift, isn't it? The next installment won't be hitting the stands until March 15th, and you'll have to grab it through the new subscription service. I took a look at the details on their website, and honestly, I’m quite pleased with how they've handled it. It actually works out to be a pretty decent way to save some money. What do you all think about the change? $8.25 By the moon. 😁

It’s a bit of a mess, isn't it? But honestly, it seems pretty obvious that the lackluster sales numbers finally caught up with them. 😢

So, what’s the deal here—is this thing actually sticking for good, or is it just some temporary nonsense for a three-month trial period?

I don't think you're actually saving $8.25 a month, because from what I can tell, the base subscription for both in that bundle is gonna be about a hundred bucks more expensive than just buying one magazine on its own

I'm not crazy enough to subscribe. I’ve done it before and the magazine was always late. And there's no way it'll be cheap at the newsstand $17. Maybe eventually Car and Driver will jump from $28 to $10
