Not quite my cup of tea—honestly, I think Bowling for Columbine is much better. In my opinion, that film was made for one specific reason: to tank Bush's reelection by highlighting just how disastrous his administration and policies have been, all while throwing some pretty shocking footage from Iraq in front of an American audience that hadn't seen anything like it before...

It’s worth a watch, I guess—but honestly, it’s nothing special.

Fahrenheit 9/11 is my absolute favorite, if you ask me.

Honestly, that might be the greatest advertising slogan ever written.

Yup, that's definitely the movie. It doesn't try too hard to make massive points or reveal everything right away like Bowling for Columbine or Fahrenheit 9/11 does; instead, it's just this darkly humorous chronicle of a major American city falling apart.

By the way, was that gross little smiley face meant as a reaction to the movie itself or specifically to what was being shown on screen?

But honestly, I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the air date they listed.
Then, goodness me, 🙂 I just lost it laughing.
It’s not really funny, though—it's actually pretty dark. I can't tell if it was an accident 🙄 or if someone at NPR is playing a joke on us.

Yup, that’s the one. No heavy-handed preaching or spoilers like in BFC or Fahrenheit 9/11. Just a dark, dry chronicle of a major city falling apart.
