Jesus, where's the soap?! I need to wash my eyes out immediately! Gross! Yuck!

What an absolute jerk you are🙄! Seriously though, having a body like that is pure art. And please, don't even start with those weird comments about being gay or whatever.

My whole point with that picture was to show how much Schwarzenegger's physique actually mattered in him becoming the icon he is today—I mean, sure, he’s got tons of charisma, which definitely helps, but let's be real. You aren't seriously going to tell me he made it all because of his one-liners, right? He crushed it primarily because of those biceps and triceps... just like how Stallone managed to pull it off too.

Here, have another photo if you want to keep losing it🙄:image

Hold on a second, this Pollcat is heading down a rabbit hole we don't need to be in... we aren't here to gawk at Arnold Schwarzenegger's physique or worship his build, we're actually trying to dissect the filmography of both him and Sly... just to eventually figure out who actually holds more weight as an actor... 😎

Then there was that rumor about Schwarzenegger having to drop at least 20 pounds just so he could actually swing a sword properly—apparently, his chest muscles were so massive they physically blocked him from grabbing the hilt with both hands! 🙂 🤣 🤣

Right, and then for the sequel, he had to go right back to the gym to bulk up again just to look intimidating...😁

casualotter21 said:I believe Schwarzenegger is convincingly leading here. Who wouldn't be drawn to his intense energy and those iconic lines? In comparison, Sylvester Stallone seems completely mute. And when you factor in Schwarzenegger's charming accent, don't you find it's simply a recipe for perfection?

In Predator, Arnold Schwarzenegger drives a wall spike into a guy and shouts: "Z - htick ahaund!"

In Running Man, he slices a man in half with a saw. When the woman asks him later what happened, he replies: "He haed to zphlit!"

But Rambo is an absolute classic: Arnold Schwarzenegger holds a small, sleazy mobster by one leg and lets him dangle over a precipice. The man begs Arnold Schwarzenegger to tell him everything if he just lets him go. Arnold Schwarzenegger listens to him, only to let him fall into the abyss. When the lady asks what he did with the guy, Arnold Schwarzenegger simply says: "I leth him goooo!"

Classics! Pure classics! What does Sylvester Stallone even have that could possibly allow him to be compared to such greatness?

A magnificent post! :claps: :claps:
It's Arnold Schwarzenegger all the way. After all, he was the Governor. 🤣

Bring on more of these vital Vol Surveys!

But honestly? Their bodies are basically their trademark, so you can't really have a conversation about them without touching on that stuff. But alright, fine—enough with the photo dump... 😉
I'm leaning towards Schwarzenegger being the tougher guy, 😁 which seems to be what the poll is showing right now—and he's winning by a landslide...

Since I tend to side with the underdog, I’m stepping up to defend Sylvester Stallone 🙂

You can't just write off Sly, Rambo, Rocky, or Cobra... then move on to Cliffhanger where John Lithgow plays the villain, and follow that up with those absolute trash festivals like Over the Top, Demolition Man, or Death Race 2000 where he plays Machine Gun Joe 😁... though, when I really think about it, Arnold Schwarzenegger actually managed to save the world from Satan himself 😁

I’d bet money on it. Honestly, I've been considering buying one of those massive posters featuring a shredded Arnold Schwarzenegger. I’d probably pin it to the inside of my bedroom door just so my mother wouldn't catch a glimpse when she walks in and mistakenly assume her son has some homosexual inclinations. Then, I could just sit there and appreciate that oiled-up, bronze physique and that dark hair in peace.
And don't you dare start throwing around any comments about gay people or whatever else.

So, I suppose it’s perfectly acceptable to hold prejudices against certain so-called "idiots," yet calling other forum members names is where we draw the line? Interesting logic. How time flies.
Don't tell me you actually believe he made it big solely because of his sense of humor or those one-liners.

Of course he did. I was reading "Hollywood 1997," that interview series by Leslie Eldridge where he sits down with Arnold Schwarzenegger. He makes a point of claiming that he and Bruce Willis are the only action stars actually bothered to write their own lines. It seems if it were just about having the muscles, someone like Jean-Claude Van Damme would be a massive Hollywood icon instead of being relegated to B-movies.

Schwarzenegger built his physique while splitting logs back in his hometown—real old-school grit—whereas Stallone had his quads injected with silicone and who knows what else. I mean, if you ask me, that pretty much says it all.

HAHA! So, apparently, it's perfectly fine to have prejudices against so-called "idiots," but calling other forum members names is where we draw the line! "Oh, tempora! Oh, fugit!"

He totally is! I was reading this book called "Hollywood 1997," which is this series of interviews by Leslie Eldridge where he talks to Arnold. The guy basically says that he and Bruce Willis are the only action stars who actually come up with their own lines. Like, if it were just about having muscles, even someone like Jean-Claude Van Damme would be a huge Hollywood icon instead of just starring in B-movies.

I’m telling you one more time: he made it primarily because of his looks. For crying out loud, Conan is packed with those funny anecdotes of his, and Terminator too 🙄. Okay, sure, those things helped his success, but they only really show up in his later movies—by then, he was already famous, to some extent.

And I'm not even going to comment on the first part, I'll just point out that there's a packed Madison Square Garden behind him, likely full of guys admiring that oiled-up physique, the bronze skin, and the dark hair🙄
And yeah, that's a top-tier comparison—comparing a ballet dancer like Van Damme to Schwarzenegger, a three-time Mr. Universe and seven-time Mr. Olympia👍

Elizabeth Price2 said:Good grief, Conan is absolutely packed with his witty anecdotes, and Terminator is the same way.

Quos eros demostrandum! If you can clearly see the truth in my argument, why refuse to acknowledge it?
Sure, they deserve credit for his success too, but they only show up in the later films; by then, he had already achieved a certain level of fame.

And listen, he owes them just as much. As Schwarzenegger mentioned in an interview with Leslie Eldridge and his secretary Sumiko, his idea was that iconic scene where Conan shoots a camel. He also came up with the classic line "I'll be back!" in Terminator, without which the character simply wouldn't be what he is today.
I won't even comment on that first part.

I suspect the reason is quite simple: you don't actually read anyone else's posts; you just want to troll people.
I'll just note that there's a full Madison Square Garden behind him, presumably filled with guys admiring his oiled physique, bronze tan, and dark hair.

I wouldn't be surprised. I remember that movie "a song and play far away." It’s that mid-90s drama depicting the early AIDS epidemic in the USA during the 1980s; they showed how those bodybuilding conventions were regular meeting spots where gay men could meet with total anonymity and discretion.
And yeah, great comparison between Van Damme the ballet dancer and Schwarzenegger, the three-time Mr. Universe and seven-time Mr. Olympia.👍

Thanks, thanks. 👋

casualotter21 said:Quos eros demostrandum! Even if you can see my point is totally valid, why won't you just admit it?

And hey, look—we actually have them to thank for a lot of this stuff. Like, remember what Schwarzenegger said in that interview with Leslie Eldridge and his secretary Sumiko? He basically said his whole idea was centered around that iconic scene where Conan shoots a camel. Plus, he’s the genius behind the legendary "I'll be back!" line from Terminator—without that, the character just wouldn't be the icon we know today.

Honestly, I think the reason you don't actually read anyone else's posts is because you're just looking for an excuse to troll people!

I'm not even surprised, though. It reminds me of that movie "a song and play far away." You know, that mid-90s drama that shows how the AIDS epidemic first started blowing up in the US during the 80s? They showed how those bodybuilding conventions were basically these huge hubs where guys could meet up super discreetly and anonymously.

Thanks, really. Thanks a lot. 👋

I mean, why would I even bother arguing with someone who thinks all bodybuilders are gay, or looks down on everyone else following the sport or hitting the gym for fun?! You clearly haven't seen many movies, have you?🙄 Buddy, you are just absolutely loaded with prejudices and stereotypes.👋

And let's be real for a second: if Schwarzenegger hadn't been born with that insane, once-in-a-lifetime genetics that gave him those muscles, he'd probably still be out there chopping wood in some small town near Graz.
Stick to your Latin lessons, man.👍

Yet, despite your defense of them, you don't hesitate to use the slur "gays" instead of "homosexuals." Tsk, tsk, tsk. Besides, what exactly did I say against homosexuals?
I suppose you've watched a certain type of movie. 🙄 Buddy, you are just full of prejudices and stereotypes. 👋

Alright, let's just wrap this whole debate up.
Just answer these two questions for me:
Do you actually think it’s "gay" (or whatever term you want to use; homosexual) to admire a physique like Schwarzenegger's? Like, did you react to that photo with disgust just because you think appreciating it makes you one?
And second: in your own opinion, what was the real key to his success: the muscles, those hilarious jokes he tells, or something else entirely?

Personally, I can't stand gay people 🙂 , which is why I use the word "fag"—and it really bugs me when they get lumped in with bodybuilders.

🤣 😂
So, are there no faggots among the bodybuilders?
And conversely, are there no bodybuilders among them? 😬
