Otherwise, an excellent episode..

Ben has blue blood as well. They acquired that blood after they killed management and Scudera.
Today was the finale, and I must say I am completely disappointed. I waited so long for this mindless conclusion, only to be met with total letdown. πŸ˜• πŸ˜• I hope they left the ending this way in hopes of filming more seasons, because nothing has actually been resolved.

Today was the finale, and frankly, I’m disappointed. After all that anticipation, such a hollow conclusion. πŸ˜• πŸ˜• I suspect they left things dangling just to bait us into another season, because nothing actually feels resolved.

For me, last night’s episode was brilliant, despite the unfinished ending... did Sophie intend to resurrect Brother Justin by draining Ben's strength?
I was absolutely terrified when Brother Justin lost it in that tent and started swinging that scythe at everyone😱 and then the showdown moved to the cornfieldβ€”it felt like some twisted version of "Children of the Corn."

And that’s it. It’s over. Honestly, there was enough potential there for so much moreβ€”it’s a genuine shame. You can practically feel the studio pulling the plug on the series right from the screen. While the finale itself isn't inherently terrible, it just fails to meet the bar set by what came before, mostly because
that final installment really should have felt like this massive, sweeping crescendo, but instead, it felt somewhat... underwhelming,
especially following that absolutely breathtaking scene in the previous episode where Scuderia lost its mind. But hey, now Ben has moved up into management... and life goes on, I suppose.
It's such a missed opportunity for the show and the overarching narrative as a whole. Still, all things considered, it’s been quite a while since I’ve watched anything quite like this.

The reruns for Carnival are finally kicking off.

It’s the first season (and likely the second one too).

Starting September 5th, 2006, on PBS, at 12:55 AM, Monday through Sunday.

Of course. Heaven forbid they schedule it for a somewhat decent hour...πŸ™„

Man, this show was absolutely killer... such a shame they canceled it :/

Brother Justin is a total legend, and honestly, knowing he’s the voice behind Mr. Krabs in Bikini Bottom makes him even better 😁

Ugh, so I haven't checked out Carnival yet, but I see it's kicking off today after the heatwave breaks... is it actually worth the hype? Chloe Reed37 says it kicks ass... hmmm, I like it!

The series is genuinely brilliant; I recommend it without hesitation. It might feel a bit slow at firstβ€”that’s why I struggled through the first seasonβ€”but once you hit season two... ahhh..πŸ™
Still, I'll probably revisit the first season just to make sense of everything...😎
Murphy, again, highly recommended.

oh man πŸ™‚
I totally trust you! But don't even think about talking me into going to Bikini Bottom!! No way, girl! Unless spoons suddenly start working or some weirdo creeps show up. πŸ™‚

Honestly, if you only knew how much fun it is over on the main forumβ€”this specific thread is just a total joke compared to it πŸ™πŸ™

wow, I just started episode two of season oneβ€”my DVD finally showed up in the mail. It’s already great, but based on what you guys are saying, the best stuff is still ahead of me.

can't wait!

I've been hearing a bit about this series lately and it actually caught my eyeβ€”so I wanted to check in with the folks here for some advice πŸ™‚. Is it any good? Does the story hold up? I guess I'm just wondering if it's worth the watch. I think Vald might have seen it already

Look, you’re definitely in the wrong subforum hereβ€”we actually have dedicated spots for stuff like Television-Unseen, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, or Horror if you want to dive deeper. But honestly? Based on what I watched on PBS a few years back, that series didn't really do much for me. Not to mention the fact that they never even finished it.

Yeah, wrong subforum. But the show? It’s killer. πŸ™‚ At least for me. Sure, it’s unfinished, but it’s absolutely worth the watch.
It just depends on your taste. If you’re looking for a standard police procedural, don't hold your breath. But if you dig weirdness, high-end HBO production, and that signature Lynchevski style of storytelling and character workβ€”go for it.

Personally, I think the series is great. The storytelling is solid, and honestly, it even gets better in the second season. It's a real shame they only filmed two seasons, especially since the second one ends on such a massive cliffhanger. Such a bummer. 😒

I'm more of an HBO fan than a procedural guy myself, but I guess that specific type of story just didn't click for me.

Wait, just checkingβ€”when you say it isn't finished, do you mean it’s still in the works, or maybe they just gave up on it altogether?

This series is freaking awesome!! It’s basically Twin Peaks set in the 1930s

I swear, you even see that little guy from Twin Peaks pop up in the show

Here are the best parts:
