But let's be real here—the body is CONSTANTLY purging toxins! I mean, that’s literally why we have things like the liver and kidneys, among other vital organs, to handle the dirty work.

Yeah... I mean, I don't know what kind of nonsense they're trying to peddle now. Honestly, ladies, get real. You'd be better off spending the whole day getting a professional massage instead of chasing that "love" from someone's hands—your body would probably flush out more waste that way...

Colon cleansing—man, this world has seriously lost its mind 😲

The gut has such a delicate balance of bacteria and all those other little microbes—I'm no doctor or anything, but generally speaking—and doing these cleanses might just mess up your whole digestive system

And trust me on this, you really don't want to go down that road

Just ask anyone living with colitis or Crohn’s disease, who knows how much it sucks when your gut isn't working right... one big reason is exactly this destruction of the "good" bacteria

So, why is everyone so obsessed with this?

What are you guys even eating that makes you feel like you need to do this to yourselves...

That's also why we deal with diarrhea, if you want to get technical.

But this whole detox thing has been a staple in places like Asia for thousands of years.
And honestly, plenty of doctors aren't even against it; some actually see the benefits.

A two-day or seven-day fast isn't about weight loss or looking pretty, despite what some people here think. It's strictly about aggressively purging toxins from your system.

Funny how they do it in hospitals then. Guess they don't have a clue what they're doing.

Well, look, people get plastic surgery in hospitals all the time, too—but that doesn't exactly mean those procedures are a necessity...

Honestly, you'd be surprised by how much of that stuff you actually run into in hospital settings...

not everything that glitters is gold...😉

Exactly. Plus, doctors will push just about anything if they know there's a market for it... 😉 It’s all just hype designed to manufacture demand—first they spread some rumor that it’s "healthy," then they just sit back and wait for the naive ones to show up with their wallets open.

Yeah, Colonic irrigation is definitely an aesthetic.

And honestly, it’s just as effective at smoothing things out as any cellulite treatment besides liposuction would be... 😁 😁

I was being sarcastic, by the way. 🙂

Noah Harris50 said:I watched this documentary on TV where they showed people with old food waste stuck in their intestines. Apparently, it also clears out any fungus buildup.

Sounds pretty healthy to me.

I saw a documentary once too—it was Jackass, where they were doing colonic irrigation and all sorts of stuff just came flying out of the tube.😁

Seriously, loves watching that garbage on TV, then turns around on the last page acting all shocked... like, "Oh my god, I've never even heard of that in my life!" What a joke.

😁

😁

I never said I enjoyed them.
And I definitely didn't call them "trash." That's just your take.

As for my surprise, excuse my ignorance, but I had no idea people did Colonic irrigation for anything other than basic health reasons.
The idea of doing a "body cleanse" through Colonic irrigation just for the sake of cleaning itself was something I only read about here for the first time.
That’s why I was surprised.

I mean, isn't that kind of Colonic irrigation in hospitals usually reserved for people prepping for surgery, or maybe just those folks who are dealing with some really intense, stubborn constipation? 😕

I read about that ages ago on some women's health forum (Colonic irrigation), where Kiki mentioned she was prepping for it. She said a ton of her friends go for it because the visual results are just insane—you'll probably be wide-eyed 😁—and apparently, it's a regular thing for most Hollywood actresses and supermodels.

I just know it works wonders for clearing things out and getting rid of all that stuck-on junk. Plus, like I said, we're all dealing with fungi anyway, so why not kill them off this way?

It's basically a post.

I don't know... I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around how things can just "get stuck" and "dry out" inside your gut.
It sounds a bit like sci-fi to me...

Jeffrey Edwards5 said:I don't know... I honestly don't get how anything can just "get stuck" or "dry up" inside your intestines.
it sounds kind of...

nothing's impossible, I guess...

if your digestion is working fine, there isn't really anything that can just stay lodged in there...

the proof is right there when you have a colonoscopy and they give you that prep powder to clear everything out...

once you see those colonoscopy photos, it’s obvious everything is crystal clear—I saw the shots from my sister's procedure and her intestines looked perfectly healthy, just that normal light pink color you'd expect from any mucous membrane...

and she didn't even do any of those crazy colonic irrigations or whatever else people try...

it's wild what some people actually swallow, I truly can't believe it... 🙄 😁
