I mean, you hear about these actresses drinking their own urine for some kind of beauty ritual, and honestly... it’s just wild

Please don't tell me people actually think this is normal

Some folks seriously have way too much time on their hands 😁

And then you've got others who are more than happy to charge a fortune for such nonsense

Not to mention how dangerous it can get if someone tries to perform these things "professionally"

The intestines are incredibly sensitive, and you could end up with a perforation—something that's hard to detect early on and could really wreck your health

Just be grateful you're healthy and stop making up these crazy trends

It sounds a little... iffy to me.

Actually, it totally can happen. My sister had to go in for some kind of Colonic irrigation a few years back because she was dealing with some really bad constipation for a long time...
And honestly, it wasn't for any fancy health kick or anything; she was basically just a kid at the time...

Are you absolutely certain we’re talking about Colonic irrigation here? 😕

Because you don't perform that procedure on a "full" bowel; the water is pumped in under pressure.

Mocha, could it have just been an enema?

it wasn't even about looking good or anything, since she was basically just a kid at the time...

that's a completely different situation from what Kiki did

that's more like an enema, or what Kenneth Hernandez67 calls Colonic irrigation...

It’s an enema, or as Kenneth Hernandez67 calls it, colonic irrigation.

So, what exactly was Kiki doing?
Is that why she’s so well-endowed? 😁?

And she didn't go through any damn colonic irrigation or any of those other ridiculous rituals...

😁

I can back this up—my mom went through the same thing.

I’ve definitely read about this trendy little "beauty hack" that all the Hollywood actresses, supermodels, and the rest of the jet set elite are obsessed with lately. But honestly, considering they basically live on kale smoothies instead of actual food, sleep strictly on their backs just to avoid facial wrinkles, and chug five liters of water because they think there are tiny little elves inside it dissolving their cellulite, I can't say I'm surprised by this nonsense.

Look, digestion, gut health, and staying regular are absolutely vital for your entire body and overall wellness. However, I find the whole idea that our intestines are just full of "buildup," "fungus," and other harmful microorganisms that need to be scrubbed out to be completely illogical. Common sense tells me that if everyone who didn't undergo Colonic irrigation died instantly, we'd all be dead already—because at that point, your own body would essentially be eating you alive.

I suppose the same goes for the brain; it's probably filled with enough nonsense and stupidity that we should probably flush that out too,😬

not really...

I guess even someone with a great build like Kiki needs to go in for some regular Colonic irrigation now and then to keep things running smoothly...

Can someone please explain the actual difference between a colonic irrigation and just "cleansing the bowels"?

Carl Lee4, I have a buddy who managed to stick to a water fast for 21 days, and even though he was technically ready to transition into a pranic lifestyle by the end... it wasn't quite there yet.
On the 21st day, he just started eating solid food again as if he hadn't been fasting at all, and honestly, everything felt pretty great for him. But then again, he had been doing one-day or multi-day fasts for months leading up to it, so I suppose his body was already somewhat acclimated to the process.

He actually described those same feelings of floating and lightness that you mentioned earlier...

My main struggle is that my blood pressure tends to drop quite drastically, which makes it hard for me to sustain a fast for very long. My plan now is to try a more gradual approach and just see how my body responds to that...

How did you handle your blood pressure during those first few days?
(though I am definitely encouraged by what you said about cellulite 😁)

Colonic irrigation involves flushing out the colon with a large volume of saline—specifically an isotonic solution (0.9%). This is different from a standard enema, where about 500 ml or more of a hypertonic saline solution is introduced into the rectum. That process draws water from the body into the bowel to increase stool volume, which then triggers the urge to evacuate.

Doctors usually order colons before intestinal surgery or a colonoscopy because it's less painful and uncomfortable than using enemas or drinking heavy-duty laxatives. To ensure the bowel is completely clear for a procedure, patients typically have to take something like Coloclens, bitter salt, or castor oil for two or three days straight, alongside a specific diet and magnesium supplements.

As for using enemas for dieting or "body purification"... the effect is essentially the same as inducing vomiting in people struggling with anorexia or bulimia. Sooner or later, it's going to damage the mucosal lining.

And for those people doing this just for beauty reasons... I heard jumping off a five-story building onto the pavement is also a great treatment. Anyone want to volunteer? 🙂

Wait, what?
I have no idea what you're getting at. Are they putting it on their faces, or are we talking about Colonic irrigation now? What?!

It's face stuff. Apparently, it's supposed to be great for dark circles under your eyes... if you believe the hype. 😁

Honestly, they could probably just raid their grandpa's old stash in the bathroom cabinet instead of running out to buy a new jar every single time... 🤣

Because they don't really do that when your gut is full... I mean, they have to pump the water in under pressure.

Could it have just been an enema instead?

Honestly, I'm not positive. I might have gotten my wires crossed on that one.😉

A few years back, I actually had to undergo a colonoscopy.
I remember quite vividly how they had me take some Epsom salts and seven individual packets of some sort of powder the night before. I spent the entire night basically living in the bathroom because I had to dissolve all that powder in water and drink it down—I ended up chugging about seven liters of water just to get through it! 😲 Then, come the next morning, right when they were performing the procedure, the doctor actually told me there were still some spots that hadn't been fully cleared out.

Rosanne said:Miriam, how much weight did you actually drop during those 7 days?

And doesn't your metabolism just hit a wall when you go that long without eating anything?👋

The first couple of days, I lost about 4 pounds, mostly just water weight and clearing out my system. By the end of the week, it was closer to 9 pounds. But once you start eating normally again, a chunk of that comes right back. For me, I gained 6 pounds back, so the net loss was really just 2 pounds.

As for my metabolism, I definitely felt it slow down. I was constantly freezing, and even when I went for a bike ride, it felt like I had zero power to push forward.

Unless I’m doing yoga, running, or hitting the iron, 😎 then I'd feel warm for a little while. But it's tough—my hands were always ice cold.

Oh, and... I did Colonic irrigation once a day via enema. It isn't as bad as people make it out to be, but I'm not going into the details here.

🙂

So, here are the big takeaways from my experience...

For starters, the debilitating PMS cramps are gone. For the first time in 13 years, I went through my cycle without a single ounce of pain. Whether it was some internal detox or tissue repair, I don't know—all I know is that periods don't have to be miserable. Long live this protocol!

Effect number two: I’m getting full much faster now. It’s also easier to tell the difference between actual hunger—that specific stomach sensation—and just mindless snacking.

Effect three: My skin feels tighter, and the cellulite looks significantly smoothed out.

Effect four: I’d honestly do it all over again. I felt so good, probably thanks to that surge of happy hormones between day four and day seven. I've already got my next round scheduled for >.

So, I’m thinking about trying a once-a-week fast, but here's the kicker: I’ll still be sipping on coffee and having my cigarettes (sadly!). Because of that, I was wondering if I actually need to deal with enemas? I think I have a rough idea of what that entails, but honestly, I haven't the slightest clue how you even do it... hm. Personally, I'm leaning towards thinking it's totally unnecessary, but I'd love to hear some advice from anyone who's been there before!
