You really handled that so well, and honestly, I’m planning to start with just one a week and gradually increase it from there... did you find it necessary to do any kind of specific preparation beforehand?
And looking at that timeframe... that's actually a great amount of time🙂

I spent a few days prepping by sticking to fruit, rice, soups, and salads. It made the transition pretty smooth.
My next attempt is slated for April, since I’ll be off work and don't have any studying hanging over my head. Another seven-day stretch.
If anyone wants to jump in, let me know.

For the first time in thirteen years, I actually got my period without feeling like I was being stabbed from the inside. Honestly, I have no clue which "channels" cleared up or what kind of tissue finally decided to heal itself, but all I know is that this monthly thing DOESN'T have to be a nightmare. Long live fasting!
Look, I’m not trying to rain on your parade or anything, I just think it’s worth mentioning that painless periods are often linked to not ovulating at all.
It doesn't mean you definitely skipped ovulation this month—it's possible—but since that radical fasting post probably messed with your hormone levels quite a bit, there's a real chance those cramps stopped because ovulation stopped too...
Just, you know, please talk to a reliable Doctor before you decide when to jump back into fasting again.🙂

A friend mentioned her doctor told her she isn't even ovulating, despite having ABSOLUTELY brutal periods.

Hmm... well, I know my body, and I definitely ovulated this month. Besides, why is a painless period such a red flag? Not having those cramps that leave you bedridden sounds like a win to me. I never said my other symptoms disappeared.

My Doctor told me I need regular blood work and to stay consistent with my protein, vitamin, and mineral supplements. He also advised against fasting more than a couple of times a year and told me to keep a close eye on my heart rate, dizziness, and blood pressure.
Yes Sir!
I've been staying on top of everything.

Look, I never actually said that having painful periods is proof of ovulation—I didn't write that anywhere.
But, yeah... if you *don't* have that usual monthly pain, it could definitely be linked to not ovulating that month.
There are a million different reasons why ovulation might skip a beat; honestly, your friend's doctor probably knows way more about her specific situation than you or I ever will... 🙂

Carl Lee4 said:So, does this mean if I miss ovulation multiple times—especially if I somehow triggered it myself—that there could be lasting consequences... like, what if I just stop ovulating altogether?
Well, honestly, it all depends on what actually caused you to skip it in the first place...
You can always get your hormone levels checked through a blood test to see what's actually going on under the hood.
There’s really no reason to stress out and assume something is broken until your lab results actually say so.

The intestinal lining you're seeing on this colonoscopy is perfectly clean.
At our hospital, here’s how we prep for a colonoscopy:
You don't eat anything the day before.
Take five Dulcolax tablets.
Then at 5:00 AM, right before the procedure, you drink two liters of Gatorade and a few more liters of some clear electrolyte solution.
And that’s why the lining looks so great.😁.
I’ve actually seen our endoscopist lose his mind when the bowels aren't properly cleared.
It just looks gross.

Look, if you're going in for a colonoscopy, your system has to be completely clear so they can actually see the intestinal wall. If there's any leftover debris in there, they aren't going to spot any actual issues.
I was just referring to what they said about the wall looking healthy. That's only because during a colonoscopy, everything is properly cleared out🙂.
