First off, I'm looking for some solid running music. I recently realized I could actually take a look through my MP3 collection, so I loaded a few tracks onto my Discman
(stuff like Survivor - Eye of the tiger and U2 - I still haven't found...) and I have to say, it definitely makes hitting the pavement a bit easier—especially when you start thinking about Survivor and how Rocky used to train for his fights. 😁

Quick request here:

If anyone feels like sharing their go-to running playlists, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Sad playlists—you’re looking for a lot of stuff here, but if you want a suggestion: some old-school melodic punk is always a solid choice for just cruising around. Think NOFX and that kind of vibe. 😁

Yeah—Ramonse. Personally, I’m also feeling the Chemical Brothers vibe. Plus those recent American doom tracks. And New Bomb Turks. And Fertilizer. Basically, just punk. 😁

I typed "running music" into Google: just getting a bunch of nonsense back. How would you actually say that in English?

Carol Wilson14 said:just search for playlists—you'll find plenty there...

It’s honestly not even a big deal since most people already have their own custom mixes ready to go for their CDs, MP3 players, or USB-MP3 drives.

Coldplay - Yellow --warming up--
RHCP - Give IT Away mus - Hysteria Kyuss - 50 Million Year trip
Muse - Hysteria
Kyuss - 50 Million Year trip
Chemical Brothers
dredg - same Ol ' Road Camel - Freefall William Orbit - Barber's Adagio for Strings ( Ferry Corsten remix
Camel - Freefall
William Orbit - Barber's Adagio for Strings ( Ferry Corsten remix

If anyone actually digs this, I might keep it going.

EDIT: Just remembered another one, Run like Hell, Pink Floyd
Might be a total cliché for some people, but it hits the spot.

You could try searching for "music for jogging," though I honestly don't think a quick Google search is going to cut it. Maybe Eno could record something specifically on that topic. 😁

👋

Don't even ask me about running; I haven't laced up a pair of sneakers since high school.

I used to run up to twenty-three miles, but then that post-grad crisis absolutely wrecked me. 🙄 For the most part, I never bothered bringing a Walkman along on my runs—mostly because I lived right near this massive forest where you really had to stay sharp and keep your eyes peeled, given all the potential hazards lurking around...

Nowadays, when I'm feeling a surge of restless energy, I'll throw in some push-ups at home or carry my wife around the room—and that's when I'll blast Misfits, Spencer, Nine Pound Hammer, Ramonse, Buzzcocks, some random ska-punk nonsense, things like that. Though, honestly, I listen to them even when I'm not doing push-ups. 🙄

Asian Dub Foundation... man, I was blasting them the other day and literally tearing my room apart because they go so hard... then it came on while I was rushing to catch my train... I was running like the wind😬

I don't exactly run, but I get my steps in, and I’m always down to blast some Body Count.😈

Lately, I've been leaning toward more chill music. But there's a catch—if I pick something too meditative or complex (like that "Escape from Planet Earth" track by Chemical Brothers), I run the risk of driving myself straight into a pole.😳

It’s the exact same story when I’m out on the highway for those long one-to-two-hour drives.😳

Underworld—"Born Slippy," "Rez," "Push Up Your Grassroots," "Jumbo"... especially those ones.
Or maybe it's "Packt My Cookies in a Thin Crust Box," "Inside My Head," "Myxomatosis," or "Idioteque"... or whatever else you'd call that stuff by Radiohead.
I could probably go for a run to some Prodigy, or maybe even some Skrillex... though honestly, I never actually go running.🙂
