Superman has passed away
A tribute to Christopher Reeve. His heart finally gave out 😢
It hit me harder than I expected, even though my connection to him was mostly through his role as Superman and seeing him later in life navigating life in a wheelchair. Perhaps it’s because seeing the man who played Superman end up in that position felt particularly poignant to someone who grew up idolizing him. I can't quite put my finger on why it touched such a nerve.

It actually hit me pretty hard, even though I mostly just knew him as the guy who played Superman and later dealt with being paralyzed. I guess seeing the guy who played Superman end up like that just sticks with you. Not sure why it's getting to me this much.

I actually told my dear friend about his passing, and he said he’d light a candle for him.
He really looked up to him because of Superman.🙂

I used to be obsessed with Superman—he was just so iconic. And that legendary scene where he spins the Earth backward just to save the woman he loves? Is there anything more romantic than that? 🙂

Honestly, I find Maddox to be just incredibly exhausting sometimes. I really don't get what everyone finds so hilarious about him.

The last time I actually saw Superman on TV was back when I was still in elementary school. Has Superman even been featured on NPR in the last decade? I highly doubt it.

Honestly, one piece of news hit me so hard I just had to start a thread. I think it took someone as legendary as Christopher Reeve to actually get me to post this—he was such an icon for my generation, and honestly, for everyone coming up behind us too.

A true legend has passed away.

Even though we all knew Christopher Reeve was human, just a regular guy, there was this quiet hope deep down that he’d somehow outlive us all and stay immortal, living on as Superman.

Christopher, we love you. Always and forever—your fans.
