The track is still damp, though the rain has finally let up for now. We’re looking at a wet third practice session—so I’d say we should expect to see Mercedes sitting right at the top of the charts—but the real question is what the qualifying conditions will actually look like. If the skies stay clear, we might get a dry surface, or at least a dry racing line, but if the clouds open up again? Well, then we’re in for quite a show. 😁 😁

The track and the conditions are garbage, man. It’s pure claustrophobia—this place feels more like a go-kart circuit than anything else.
Add some rain to the mix and you’ve got a recipe for disaster regarding consistency. At that point, the result usually comes down to luck rather than actual skill. And I hate that.

The last time I actually prayed for rain was back in '99. 😁

I was just catching up with a colleague. It got me thinking... when was the last time I actually sat through a race that was washed out from start to finish? A race where we started in the rain and just stayed in it for the entire duration?

Between the rain, the floodlights, the barriers—and that inevitable Safety Car—is anyone actually going to win this without a massive stroke of luck?
Well, if those rain forecasts actually hold up, I'm putting my money on Lewis Hamilton.
That guy's got luck on his side, even if he's clearly lacking in the brains department. 😁
