How tall is George Clooney?

Is this a high-stakes bet regarding George Clooney's actual height?
I see 5'11" listed on his official bio pages, but if I'm being totally honest, I've always had this nagging feeling that he’s actually a bit shorter—I remember reading somewhere once that he might only be around 5'7". I tried searching for those lists where they rank famous actors by height, but I couldn't find a decent one, and it seems like almost everyone on those lists ends up being taller than Robert De Niro.
So, any big fans out there who can settle this for me?

George Clooney is actually quite short. I recall reading somewhere in a magazine that he stands at just 5'6"...

I also happen to be a walking encyclopedia of useless trivia🙄 ...and I tend to retain the most ridiculous facts....(though I certainly remember this one because the whole article was about how many Hollywood leading men are surprisingly short—like Tom Cruise, or Clooney, and so on... suggesting that shorter guys actually carry themselves better on screen😕 ..whatever....)

Yeah, it’s just such a headache because this guy is all over various dating sites claiming he's under 5'11", so how on earth am I supposed to prove he's actually closer to 5'7"? (I was honest and said I'm about 5'6", but his side of things—the lady—insisted he was 6'0".) I'll shoot a message to Mike 😁

You see 5'11'' or 5'10'' floating around all over the internet—basically somewhere between 5'10" and 5'11"—depending on who you ask.
If you ask me—and I say this purely from a woman's perspective—I’d bet he’s definitely hitting that height mark. He’s got those long legs and a lean torso, which is a world away from guys who seem a bit more compact—you know, the Tom Cruise types where the torso just sort of dominates the frame.

Honestly, he looks way shorter than that to me too, especially since I remember him being listed at around 5'7", so I was pretty shocked when I checked his official site and saw they're actually claiming he's nearly 5'11"!

Catherine Zeta-Jones stands about 5'8", which means if she throws on some standard 3-inch heels, she’s easily eye-to-eye with Clooney.
So, there's a decent chance he's actually standing around 5'11". 😁

I think I saw a stat somewhere mentioning 5'6", but honestly, next time we should probably pay closer attention to those wide shots where they're standing next to someone else—just to make sure they aren't secretly rocking heels like Sly Stallone might

I heard he’s actually 5'8"... and that's been verified through a bet. So, 5'8" barefoot, maybe 5'9" if he's wearing his favorite boots.😁We actually asked him🙂 and he sent over an unedited photo. Honestly, I got the feeling he was pretty bored since he went out of his way to track down all the proof for us.🙄
