The guy is basically the gold standard for bad acting. He’s out here starring in kids' movies... featuring actors who barely have any screen time under their belts. Now, I’ll give him this: Beowulf was okay, mostly just because of the vibe. It was a little spooky, sure, but the soundtrack is what really kept me glued to the screen. I haven't seen it in a while, but looking back, the music is the only reason I walked away with a positive impression.

I just sat through Highlander, and honestly? It’s total garbage.

So, here’s my take.... if you’re measuring bad acting on a scale, it sits right between 0 and 1. Because nobody can ever hit a 1. Even Jean-Claude Van Damme—who is clearly "Van Damme-not"—is sitting at about a 0.9 compared to Lambert. 🙂

Just checking the math here, how much Neill's one Christopher Lambert equals?

Now, Sam Neill might not be a massive superstar, but at least he's a legitimate actor. I don't think Christopher L can say the same thing.😁

Did I totally hallucinate this, or did someone on TV during Beowulf actually go out in a blaze of glory only for them to toss him into a plastic body bag like some scene straight out of CSI? And then—get this—they just zip it up with a freaking zipper 😲

Well, look, even though you wouldn't notice it in such a grand, epic tale of heroism, Beowulf—not the original, obviously, but this version starring the great Christopher Lambert—actually takes place in the future.

It’s just because it sounds cool, honestly. It sets up this perfect, high-energy soundtrack that feels straight out of some super-intense techno version of Mortal Kombat: The Movie... Plus, you can't deny that Lambert fits right into that gritty, post-apocalyptic vibe perfectly.

Nirvana was actually a decent enough flick.
Lambert didn't quite manage to tank it—which is saying something!
I also really liked his performance playing that priest who gets taken out over in Poland.

Aside from that one "Black guy dies because some supernatural crap is hunting him in a mansion" scene, I haven't watched anything else since... mostly because Chris is such a total moron that I can barely stand watching him on screen. Thanks for the wake-up call, I guess! 🙂

He isn't necessarily the absolute worst actor out there, but he’s definitely hovering somewhere near the bottom of the barrel.

He’s bad—I'll give you that. But I don't think he's quite the worst actor of the last twenty years. Lambert is actually decent enough. He was great in the first Highlander movie; I really liked that one. The sequels were clearly just cash grabs. 🙄 He was good in Potez Hunter, too.

I forced myself to sit through Beowulf until the end. I knew it was going to be a disaster the second they killed off Patricia Velasquez five minutes in. All those fire-spitting machines and half-baked special effects later in the movie just proved I was right. 😁 Rhona Mitra is the only redeeming quality of the film -> 🙂.

Honestly, I'd ban Americans from raping old epics like this.
