Maybe you're just sweating more because of the heat, so your body is naturally calling for hydration?
Or perhaps you've been eating spicier food lately, which would definitely make you thirsty.
For what it's worth, I drink plenty of water myself... my blood sugar is fine, kidney function is great, and my overall health is solid.
I just genuinely enjoy drinking water.🙂
Drinking lots of water isn't usually a cause for concern, unless you have high blood pressure—and as we discussed, it can sometimes be an indicator of diabetes.

Thanks everyone 🙂

So, I’m definitely someone who loves seasoning my food, and I usually stick to natural spices... but honestly? I think I might actually be missing out on enough salt, especially since I’m seeing how much water I’m flushing out through my urine...

And yeah, I drink tons of water too, but what’s really getting to me—like, it’s actually starting to annoy me—is just how hungry I am. Like, constantly. I'm hungry, hungry, hungry... you know? It's this non-stop feeling of being famished...

It’s got me a little...

I generally love seasoning my food with salt and all those natural spices... though, honestly, I’ve started thinking that maybe I’m actually lacking enough salt, especially considering how much fluid I seem to be losing through urination...

I drink plenty of water normally, too, but what’s really starting to worry me—and frankly, it’s getting a bit frustrating—is just how thirsty I am, constantly, endlessly thirsty... you know, it's like this unrelenting sensation of being parched...

It’s got me feeling a little...

Just run every test you possibly can, and there's a 99% chance you'll get your answer.

brisknomad6, honestly, from my own experience, you really need to get your vasopressin levels checked out!
That hormone is basically the boss of your water metabolism. If you're running low on it, all that fluid your kidneys filter just ends up flushing right out of your system—instead of being recycled back in like it's supposed to happen.
If that turns out to be the issue, the fix is actually super simple and pretty elegant. You just take a hormone replacement once a day via a nasal spray. Your thirst will vanish within minutes, just like magic 👍!

You should probably get your thyroid levels checked. When you're dealing with hyperthyroidism, it’s common to feel super thirsty and find yourself constantly chugging water.

Maybe all those cups of coffee have you feeling a bit parched, brisknomad6?
As for me, all this caffeine just leaves me with this restless, unquenchable thirst...

Look, if your blood sugar is holding steady, just bump up your salt intake... and start slamming some Gatorade or something to get those electrolytes back in balance...

I was checking out some responses over at Reddit tonight—by the way, they aren't all that great (even though people on LinkedIn were raving about them)—and I am just absolutely exhausted, beyond words. I’ve already downed a liter of water, two small bottles of Vitaminwater, and a good half-liter of Coke just to boil it down so I can refill my bottle with cold water again.

Look, you should probably go get your blood sugar checked out, and specifically those triglyceride levels too.

So, I was checking my levels again recently—I make a point of doing this every six months since my old man is diabetic, and my grandmother actually had
though she managed to live nearly 80 years with it
(she was diagnosed at 58) and never even needed insulin shots

Anyway, those BBQ sliders we had were seriously intense—once we finally finished eating, I honestly thought I might have to change my shirt because I was sweating so much; it felt like stepping out into a summer heatwave in Phoenix right after a downpour, you know? Just sitting there eating those hot sliders...

Man, you really have high standards, don't you?.... 😉

Maybe give their chicken skewers a shot next time—they’re incredible, seriously... they just melt in your mouth. 🙂 🙂 👍

Heh, if you actually take a moment to look closer at things,
then you start leaning toward that conclusion

So, I'm wondering if there's actually a way to kill this constant thirst. Like, anything to stop feeling like I need to chug water every five minutes? Not joking here...
