Why don't you just start a thread with an actual, decent title for once? Where would this forum even be if everyone started posting clickbait garbage like this?

Look, if China is what’s causing your thirst, just chugging tonics isn't exactly a genius move. If you're actually dealing with some kind of chronic thirst, go see a doctor at a local clinic and get some bloodwork done. Constant, unquenchable thirst is usually a sign that something is physically wrong.

Don't try to play doctor—just make an appointment tomorrow.
Excessive thirst can be a major red flag for high blood sugar or diabetes. You really should get your glucose levels checked.

Need some advice here...

So, I’m constantly thirsty. There's this persistent dry feeling in my throat, especially in the morning when I feel like I could down two liters of water in one sitting. By the evening, it eases up a bit, but it doesn't really go away.

You’d almost think I was looking at classic diabetes symptoms, but here’s where it gets weird—my blood sugar is totally fine, my urine output is normal, I’m actually gaining weight instead of losing it, my vision is clear, and I don't have any itching issues.😁

Basically, everything is the exact opposite of what you'd expect with diabetes. So, what else could it be?

Is it possible to be just chronically dehydrated? I drink more fluids than anyone else in my family, and they all think it's strange how thirsty I am. Sometimes, it feels like the more water I chug in a short period, the thirstier I get.🤷

Any ideas on what this might be?

How long does this state persist? How much fluid are you actually losing? You should track your 24-hour urine output—skip the first morning sample and include the last one from the following day. Also, get a referral for bloodwork. Check your glucose and electrolytes, along with a urinalysis to monitor specific gravity and kidney function.
Hi there.

It’s been going on for a few years now... Maybe a liter a day at most.
My last full blood work and urinalysis were done a few months back, and everything came back normal and within range.

You might be leaning toward the Republican Party, but it wouldn't hurt to run a test with the Independent Party

And maybe you just breathe through your mouth while you sleep, which means you're snoring and drying out your membranes...

That’s a possibility. My family tells me I snore sometimes...😁

I've been dealing with an issue for the last two days

I am incredibly thirsty. I can drink a full glass of water and still feel just as parched—it’s like I drink it, and five minutes later, the thirst is right back. To put it plainly, I can swallow the water easily enough, but the sensation won't go away. I just downed half a liter and I'm still thirsty

Do you think it's possible that drinking a Red Bull every day for the past three weeks is causing this? I had one yesterday, but none today

I honestly don't know what the problem is
besides
One morning, I woke up feeling slightly dehydrated, really dry, and my urine was a dark yellow color. That’s when this all started, about two mornings ago

I drank some Gatorade today; maybe that will help.

I've been reading up on diabetes symptoms, but I don't actually fit them—I'm just terrified of the possibility

Also, my mouth isn't dry; it's just this constant thirst in my stomach area

I don't know what Red Bull has to do with anything, but I wouldn't touch that stuff for other reasons. Maybe one can every month if you're desperate, but drinking that garbage every day...

I’m thirsty—like, I can drink a whole glass of water and that feeling just won't go away. It isn't that I drink water and then feel thirsty again five minutes later; rather, I can drink plenty of it, but the sensation remains constant. Even after half a liter, the thirst is still there.

Is it possible that drinking a Red Bull every single day for the past three weeks is causing this? I had one yesterday, though I haven't had any today.

I really don't know what the issue is.
Aside from
One morning, I woke up feeling slightly dehydrated—just dry, and my urine was a dark yellow color—and things have been like this ever since, starting the morning before yesterday.

I drank an Gatorade today; maybe that'll help.

I've been looking up diabetes symptoms, but nothing seems to fit perfectly—I think I'm mostly just scared of the possibility.

Also, my mouth isn't dry, it's just this deep thirst in my stomach.

Try eating some fruit with high water content—watermelon, grapes, peaches. When it's hot out, your body actually absorbs liquid from fruit better than it does from plain water.

And stop drinking that junk.

It does, I just read about it... it encourages dehydration and messes with your electrolyte balance and everything.

Especially when you knock back two or three during a heatwave. It leads to exactly what happened to me.

Since yesterday morning, that sensation (knock knock) has finally gone away. I'm trying to chug as much water as possible so it doesn't come back.

Plus, I'm weaning myself off the Red Bull.

Gonna go grab some watermelon, thanks for the advice!! 😉

I am thirsty. Like, seriously thirsty. I can chug a whole glass of water, but that feeling? It doesn't budge. It isn't even a case where I drink water and five minutes later I'm parched again—it's more like I can physically swallow all the water I want, but the sensation of thirst just won't leave me alone. I'll finish half a liter of water and still feel like I'm wandering the Mojave Desert.

Is there any chance this is because I've been slamming a Red Bull every single day for the last three weeks? I had one yesterday, and none today, but still...

I honestly don't know what the deal is.
Except
A few mornings ago, I woke up feeling totally dehydrated. My skin felt dry, and my urine was dark yellow. That's when this whole thing kicked off—the morning before yesterday.

Today I grabbed an Gatorade, maybe that'll help.

I've been Googling diabetes symptoms, but nothing seems to fit perfectly, other than the pure anxiety of thinking it might be that.

And just to be clear, my mouth isn't dry; it's just this constant thirst deep in my stomach.

The Red Bulls definitely have something to do with it. Step up the hydration, cut out the booze and the soda, and stick to light meals.
