I hope this is the right thread for this. I'm looking for some insight into the costs for a full systematic checkup at various private clinics—think everything from weight and bloodwork to urine tests, a gyn exam, breast ultrasounds, and mole checks. Basically, a complete one-stop shop for all those things you just want to verify. My doctor isn't exactly thrilled about handing out referrals—she says Medicare won't cover them unless there's an actual issue—but I’d rather do all of this purely for prevention. I feel fine for now, but who knows? Maybe there's something growing inside me—God forbid—even if I don't have symptoms yet. 🤷 If anyone has gone through a similar comprehensive screening, could you share your experience and any pricing info? Thanks. 🙂

So, I went to check on my appointment today—they actually scheduled me for April 2012 😱

I've got this really weird spot on my leg (inner thigh) that hits every single red flag in the book—it changes color constantly, going from red to purple and now looking totally colorless, plus it’s irregular and keeps shifting shape... I also have one on my nose (though that one’s been there since birth and is pretty symmetrical) that I’d love to just get rid of, an unusual one on my nipple, and another one on my back

There is absolutely no way I can sit around waiting a whole year just to have someone take a look at this...

Honestly, I am more than ready to shell out some serious cash to get this sorted quickly, because if I stay like this, I feel like I won't make it long enough to actually do anything about it

Does anyone have recommendations for a solid private clinic in NYC? And do they even perform histological analyses over there?

Alright, everyone... now for the east side

I urgently need to find a sane doctor!

So, my dear Dr. Živković prescribed Normabelle for my high blood pressure and heart palpitations—and then actually suggested I drink Cola just to avoid heartburn...

Please, I'm looking for a doctor in West Washington, D.C., though a clinic downtown would work too.

Can someone tell me how much the co-pay is for T3, T4, and TSH testing if you're dealing with thyroid issues?
I mean, when you go through the hospital system?
Also, does anyone have a tip on where in Washington, D.C. I could actually get seen the fastest? Honestly, staring at all those endless waiting lists on hospital websites is driving me absolutely insane... 😢

From what I can see, private clinics are charging around $67, which isn't total robbery, but if there's any way to save some cash, I’ll take it.

Thanks a million!

Has anyone been to see Dr. Haramija (dentist)? I'm looking for some honest feedback—not really about whether they're friendly, but more about the actual quality of their work... Thanks!

Because I see private clinics are charging around $67, which isn't too bad, but if there's any way to save a bit of money, I'd certainly appreciate it.

Thanks so much!

Check out Breyer Labs over on Illica Street. The cost is about $23 per hormone, and you can just show up whenever—assuming they're actually open, of course.

In my experience, I ended up waiting a full month just for the hormone results, then another month for the actual consultation, and apparently, I'm looking at an ultrasound at Mount Sinai sometime next year. In the end, I just gave up and went to a private specialist. 🤷

I heard about this one nightmare scenario from an acquaintance who ended up pulling their kid out because the whole setup was just overkill—extreme precautions paired with incredibly rude specialists and social workers. It’s like they don't even have basic rights; you can't just go out whenever you feel like it or hang out with whoever you want, and they treat everyone there like they're stuck in basic training. There's zero downtime, no 🤷 coffee breaks, smokes, or even having a doctor or psychiatrist on call 🙂 available, plus the food is absolute garbage and they barely give you any 😢. The poor kid actually ended up throwing up while they were staying there 😕

Hey everyone!

I just got a referral for dermatology because I've been dealing with this redness on the inside of my elbow for three months now.

Which hospital in Washington, D.C. handles skin issues? I stumbled upon this link and wanted to double-check if I'm looking at the right place:

Thanks!

Hello, everyone.

I was wondering if anyone here might have firsthand experience with either Dr. Gverić or Dr. Bubičić-Bajek—they are both dermatologists practicing in San Diego.
I am having a bit of trouble deciding which one to visit, especially since their rates seem to be identical, and I would truly appreciate some guidance on who to trust for an examination.

Thank you all in advance.😍

I'm looking for a dentist in NYC who actually takes Medicare. The main thing is I need someone patient—someone who can handle extreme dental anxiety without spending half the appointment lecturing me about why I should've come in sooner. It’s high time I finally get my oral health under control, but honestly? I'm feeling pretty embarrassed about this first visit because my teeth are in rough shape right now. 😢 Fear and procrastination are a vicious cycle.

Vlasta Glamuzina, Times Square.

I had a friend once who basically had "white coat syndrome"—she was terrified of anyone in a lab coat, even the people working at the local bakery—and she had her wisdom teeth pulled, and she was extremely happy with the experience.

I guess I'm a little less terrified than she was, but I still made sure to give them a heads-up, and they were incredibly professional about it. They narrated everything they were doing so there wouldn't be any surprises—you know, things like, "this might sting a bit now," or "it's going to feel cold," or "now I'm just drilling/grinding..."

Hey,

Does anyone have a solid recommendation for a private specialist in Washington, D.C. who handles male chest reduction? And let's be clear—I'm not talking about gynecomastia here—just pure fat removal. Also, does anyone know what kind of damage I'm looking at price-wise for a procedure like that?

I'm looking for a decent gynecologist
Male or female, doesn't matter. Somewhere in Washington, D.C., preferably near a subway station. I'm pregnant and my current doctor is a total disaster.
