I'm from St. Louis. My father’s right carotid artery is completely blocked, and his left one is about 70% clogged. Physically, he seems to be doing alright right now since he started on the regimen of PLAVIX 75 mg, ASPIRIN PROTECT, and SORTIS 20 mg. That said, he was definitely dealing with some tingling in his right arm, and his gait was a little off in his left leg. His doctor is pushing for surgery, but he's warning us that it carries a huge risk... I really want to get a second opinion from some top-tier specialists here in America. If anyone knows, can you tell me what a procedure like this actually costs? Also, who is the absolute best surgeon for this kind of thing? We aren't able to get a referral for the US healthcare system right now, so we're looking at our options.

Anyone have a solid recommendation for a prosthodontist in Miami? Also, if anyone happens to know the ballpark figures for getting an implant placed versus just adding a single unit to a bridge, I'd love to hear it.

Hey everyone! Does anyone know a decent neurosurgeon, maybe somewhere between Indianapolis and Washington, D.C.? We’re dealing with a cervical spine situation that’s actually gotten even worse after surgery to remove two polyps, and frankly, it's a mess. We really need to get a second opinion from someone who actually knows what they're doing, but there isn't a single neurosurgeon in my neck of the woods! Any leads? Thanks!

Just head to the ER; they have to give you a referral, which you can then take to the hospital.
