Can anyone recommend a solid endocrinologist in Chicago or California? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hey

I'm looking to book an appointment with a dermatologist to check out some skin spots, but I have no clue how to go about it. I've never actually seen a derm before.

I do have supplemental insurance if that helps at all.

Thanks

So, you just hit up your primary care doctor and ask for a referral to a dermatologist. Then you book an appointment at some hospital and you're basically done.

Or at local clinics, like Vrapče or Crnomerec... wherever you happen to be living..

Thanks guys!

Do you have to pay out of pocket for a dermatologist visit at public hospitals?

If you don't have supplemental insurance, you're looking at a co-pay of roughly $8.25.

Hey everyone! How’s it going?

I’ve got a few things I was hoping you all might be able to help me out with.

Does anyone happen to have recommendations for:
- A really solid dentist or female dentist around the Savica, Folnegović Neighborhood, or Borovje areas?
- A reliable GP or family doctor in the Savica, Folnegović Neighborhood, or Borovje vicinity?
- Where can I go for inhalation treatments here in Chicago? To be honest, the specialized lung clinics are just way too far out of my way, so I was wondering if any of the local community health centers offer that kind of service?

Thanks so much! 🙂

Has anyone here dealt with the Molecule center over in Newark? They've got this group discount promo going right now—makes the $67testing actually pretty affordable—and since I've been looking into food intolerance issues for a while, it caught my eye.

Does anyone happen to know which specific method they use there?

Look, just shoot them an email or give them a call and ask exactly what kind of testing method they use. Demand to see their full list of food items before you agree to anything; you don't want to end up getting tested on $67 twenty different ingredients when you weren't expecting it. Use your head. Honestly, I've never even heard of this company. Do your homework and ask plenty of questions before you make a move.

Definitely ask for a full list of the foods they'll be testing you on, so you don't end up being blindsided by, say, 20 different items during the actual $67 session. Use your head! I’ve honestly never heard of this company before. Make sure you do your homework before committing.

Yeah, right—because sending an email will definitely solve everything...

It seems pretty cheap to me, so if it works even a little bit, it'll be worth it—totally. I don't exactly have a few thousand bucks lying around like some people were mentioning here, and it's not like I'm dealing with major health issues that would make it a necessity right now...

Anyway, once I go, I'll jump back on here and let you guys know how it went!😉

So, my allergies have been driving me absolutely crazy lately, so I finally bit the bullet and went to Chicago to get one of those food intolerance tests done... cost me about two grand, too. Turns out, I'm supposedly intolerant to corn in basically every form—popcorn 😢, corn oil, the whole deal—plus kola nuts and egg whites. I've been trying to dodge all of that for like two years now, and honestly, I haven't touched a Coca-Cola since that day.

But here's the kicker... I haven't noticed any actual difference in how I feel. Like, zero effect on my body at all.

I went through the whole food intolerance testing thing myself, though I didn't do the blood work—I did the hair follicle test instead. The results were honestly ridiculous; apparently, I’m intolerant to basically everything. We're talking potatoes, watermelon, cow's milk, white flour, cornmeal, Coke, gum, onions, garlic, beet sugar, butter, margarine, cucumbers, sunflower oil, coffee, chocolate... you name it. My big question is: once I actually cut all this stuff out, what the hell am I supposed to eat? 😁

The thread didn't vanish, here it is: 😉

Please move all the talk about food intolerances over there, because this section is strictly off-topic. Thanks! 🙂

Look, I already posted in that other thread. It’s pretty obvious some other moderator just moved our posts about intolerance over to this topic instead. I honestly don't get the logic behind it.

Does anyone happen to know the names of the general practitioners at the health center near the Branimirova market (right across from the tram stop)? I believe one of them is named Maja, but I can't recall her surname. She’s a heavier woman with black hair and bangs. I recently switched my care over to her, and now I just can't seem to remember her last name.

Olivia Thompson34 said:I'm looking to book a private gastroscopy in Miami as soon as possible; I need to know what the pricing looks like and just get the full rundown on how everything works. 🙏

I’m also on the hunt for a good gastroenterologist in Chicago.

I was also wondering if there’s actually a reliable way to find a comprehensive list online that breaks down doctors by their specific specialty or maps out private practices across different cities. It feels like you have to dig through a mountain of disorganized search results just to find someone who actually specializes in what you need, rather than just getting a general directory that isn't worth much.

Anyone here dealt with Dr. Kardum’s private clinic before? It feels pretty weird to me that they don't even have a website.

We are looking for an appointment with a urologist or andrologist due to infertility issues. Is there anywhere we can get seen without waiting over a month? That seems to be the current situation at Vuk Vrhovac.
