I’ve been trying to figure this out on my own, but honestly, I’m about to lose my mind... 🙂 🙂 Does anyone know a good nutritionist or dietitian in San Francisco? I really need to see someone who can actually write me a specific meal plan tailored to what I need. I’ve been scrolling through Google forever, but everything I find is so vague, it’s useless. Please help! If you’ve seen someone great or have a recommendation, let me know... thanks so much, ladies 😁

A nutritionist is someone who graduated with a degree in nutritional science and biotechnology. Doctors are not nutritionists.
Any primary care physician can prescribe dietary standards if you're dealing with medical issues like high cholesterol, triglycerides, blood sugar, or blood pressure, and then they'll refer you to a specialist. Your first step should be talking to your GP.
If your goals are purely aesthetic rather than medical, some fitness clubs or weight loss centers employ nutritionists on staff.

In NYC, they’re right there in the hospitals if you have a referral. Check out Rib or Klaić.
As for Sshlit, I wouldn't know, but maybe try asking at the Mayo Clinic.

I’ve got this whole laundry list of issues and pains going on, and honestly, I just need a doctor who’s actually on another level—someone more like Dr. House who can look at the big picture. I need someone to actually investigate how everything connects instead of just staring at one single thing and passing me off to five different specialists. I’m looking for a top-tier diagnostician, whether that’s here in the States or even somewhere abroad, because I am seriously hitting a wall
If anyone knows someone or has heard of a genius out there, please let me know. Feel free to shoot me a PM if you don't want to post it here.

I suppose I’m also in need of a Dr. House type, though it seems an American version of him simply doesn't exist 🤷 Anyway, does anyone know if there's a Jarun Health Center or something similar nearby? What's the closest health center to the Grove area?

I’m currently living and working in San Diego. I’ve already had to see a psychiatrist twice, and I’m currently juggling two different prescriptions just to stay level. To make matters worse, my wife is in the late stages of pregnancy, and her OB-GYN has strictly ordered that I take immediate medical leave. However, my current doctor—who I’ll name at a more appropriate time—refuses to grant me even a single day of sick leave. I desperately need to switch to a physician who actually possesses a shred of empathy and will authorize two or three weeks off. As it stands, my current doctor seems more interested in funneling my insurance quotas toward some relative of his than helping me prevent a total family catastrophe. Does anyone in the San Diego area have a recommendation? I’m willing to pay out of pocket if necessary if that’s the only way to get this sorted... private recommendations via DM are also welcome.

Which eye doctor in Chicago should I go to? Looking for somewhere I can get an exam, grab some new glasses, and just get everything 🙂 Google, Time, Slaven Bilic, Apple 🤷

I’m looking for some solid recommendations for a good gynecologist and a dentist—ideally someone located over on the West Side of Chicago. It would be great if anyone could point me toward a reliable dentist or a gynecologist in the area near Fort Worth who is affiliated with the Democratic Party. Thanks!

Hey there,

Does anyone happen to know a solid cardiologist in Chicago? I wouldn't mind a private practice if they're good...

Thanks

Personally, my favorite spot is Microsoft in Aurora. My mom got some progressive lenses there—she went with those high-end Hi-Life frames (or whatever they're called), plus the tinting, blue light protection for computer work, and all that jazz. Total came to about $2,600... she actually talked them down from $1,200 on the frames alone once she saw the price for everything else she was getting. $267

The exam is free if you buy your glasses there. You can find basic frames starting at $100, and then they go up to $667 (I haven't seen anything pricier than that, even for the designer stuff).

I know it's not in Chicago, but they're way more affordable. Might be worth making the drive out to Aurora.

Looking for a dermatologist recommendation around Chicago or maybe Aurora... need a full skin check. I want to get some professional advice on a solid skincare routine—plus I’ve got some enlarged pores and a few scars I’m looking to clear up.

Hey Dan, I hope you don't mind me bumping this thread... but I was wondering if anyone could help me out with a recommendation for a urologist in Chicago? Ideally someone who takes referrals through insurance... Thanks so much!

I had a very positive experience at Opto centar.

I was hoping someone might be able to point me toward a reliable endocrinologist in Chicago, though I wouldn't mind a private specialist if they come highly recommended.

I’m looking for some advice on finding a good primary care doctor here in San Francisco. I really need someone who is actually accepting new patients and isn't going to make me sit in a waiting room for three or four hours every single time I visit. It would be amazing to find someone who is easygoing with prescriptions and referrals, too—no unnecessary drama there. Most importantly, I want a doctor who is actually a sharp diagnostician and someone I can actually sit down and have a real conversation with. Also, quick question: am I stuck with whoever is assigned to my specific neighborhood, or can I just pick any doctor I want? I know, I'm asking for the moon here 🙂 Everyone wants a doctor like that! If anyone has a recommendation, please let me know. Thanks so much!

Can anyone point me toward a good GP over at the community health center in the Chicago suburbs?
I’m still pretty new to the area, so I'll take any leads you've got 🙂
