I am in desperate need of a recommendation for a physiatrist—both someone covered by Medicare and a private specialist. I need both options, and I need them urgently!! Here’s the situation: I had a broken arm, and now that the cast has finally come off, the muscle atrophy is just devastating. I can't do anything with this hand, which feels incredibly frustrating when I see so many others who had similar fractures recovering much faster than I am.. 😢

My doctor is terrified I might be developing Sedeckov's disease, so he's insisting—get to physical therapy immediately!

Thank you all so much in advance for any help you can provide! 🙂

Basically, my arm was broken, it’s healed now, they took the cast off, and now the arm is just totally atrophied. I can't do anything with it, which is weird because I know plenty of others with similar breaks who aren't in this boat.. 😢

My LOM is terrified of catching whatever Sedeckov has and keeps saying—get to physical therapy ASAP!

Thanks in advance for any help! 🙂

For private, go to Physio at Savica (assuming you're in Washington, D.C., since you didn't specify a city). The guy is an incredible diagnostician—he actually saved me a few times after getting nothing but half-baked diagnoses from the ER and other places. He explains the exercises really well, too—like, highly recommended. Personally, I tend to get injured quite often, and once I found him, I wouldn't trust anyone else. 👍

I'm on the hunt for a good urologist or a solid clinic up in Cleveland, so if anyone has a recommendation... the higher the quality, the better! 🙂

Hey guys, I'm on the hunt for a solid ophthalmologist who's based at a hospital but also sees patients privately in the Washington, D.C. area. Any leads?

Dr. Juratovac is great! He works over at Rebro but you can also catch him for private appointments at Monocle on Maximilian Avenue.

I don't know much about Cleveland, but if you find yourselves heading down to Washington, D.C.... check out Slaven Ovčariček at Holy Spirit Hospital or the Urocenter Clinic.

Dr. Budisin at Medikol is absolutely wonderful!

My wife actually got a second opinion, and she didn't agree with what they said at Mayo Clinic at all—she was totally blunt about it. She sent me for HLA tissue typing, which the other place hadn't even bothered to do.
She just said, "Go see Dr. Bosnic, he'll confirm exactly what I'm telling you."
If you go, you seriously won't regret it. She made such a great impression on me! I actually went there on my mother-in-law's recommendation after she was diagnosed with RA, and Dr. Bosnic confirmed the exact same thing.

I don't know any private specialists—no luck there—but Dr. Giljevic at Rebro has been absolutely stellar for me. He actually managed to diagnose my condition after four years of other specialists in the field completely missing it. There’s about a two-month wait, though. He's patient, highly skilled, thorough, and genuinely seems to care.

Hey,
I need a recommendation for a private rheumatologist.

Edit: I see Dr. Budisin was suggested. She seems really nice, but I didn't have much luck with her.

Hey everyone,
I'm looking to get a full systemic checkup done here in the States. I've been browsing online and seeing all these different clinics with wildly varying prices. Honestly, I can't tell if a higher price tag actually means better care or if it's just marketing. If anyone has personal experience or a go-to spot they trust, I’d love some recommendations. Thanks in advance!
