the decemberists - her majesty

those are just the ones stuck in my head right now, but I still swear by stuff like grandaddy, the coral, radiohead, mars volta, the thermals, delgados, yyyahsi, calexico, and all that sort of thing...😎

end - bss, you Forgot IT in People is from '02, at least according to AllMusic, but whatever🙄 what matters is when you actually heard it, not when it hit the shelves😎

It actually came out in 2003 over here in Europe, but it was released in the US late in 2002, though it was through Mercury Records in Europe and some totally different label in America.

After banging my head against the wall and spinning through my favorites, I’m sticking to my guns: Broken Social Scene is definitely the best album of the year. As far as release dates go, even if it dropped in the US back in 2002, it came out late enough in the year to make the cut for this list.🙂 👍

Man, seriously—if it wasn't for those few metalheads dragging everything down, we could easily just rename this whole thing "Best Indie Albums of 2003" :-/

Look, I’ve been seeing people in here claiming they listen to 20 or 30 albums a year—honestly, I think it's just a massive ego trip... a way to flex on everyone else by pretending they have some superhuman taste in music when, in reality, you all just know ***** 😕
