hm... definitely Terminator 3....👎 I guess I found myself getting a bit lost in The Matrix Reloaded, struggling to follow the logic, but with The Terminator... it was just a disaster. I honestly couldn't tell who was even involved in the plot anymore, and worst of all, I feel like I $6.75 wasted my time—which is rare, because usually there's at least something watchable in these things...

It’s definitely The Dark Knight

And I have to admit—Indiana Jones 2... a total waste of money

I once stumbled into a screening of Eye of the Beholder. Honestly, I’d prefer to strike that particular memory from the record entirely. :-)

It’s no coincidence you guys keep bringing up new releases. Honestly, it feels like there haven't been more than maybe ten decent movies made in the last two or three years. I was digging through my DVD collection today trying to find something worth watching, and every single box set I picked up just screamed "garbage." Sure, there are a couple of gems in there, but I’ve already seen them—some multiple times. Everything else is total trash. What’s even worse is having to deal with junk like "Superbad," "Tuxedo," "Sniper," "Just Married," "Spy Kids," "Tomb Raider," or "XXX"... I don't even know. I can't exactly rent "Back to the Future," "Minority Report," or "Saving Private Ryan" ten times over. Those are actually good, fun movies. The theaters aren't any better.

I was laughing hysterically throughout the entire movie, yet once I stepped out of the theater, I couldn't recall a single thing about the actual plot. It remained completely elusive to me until I eventually watched it on streaming, and even now, the details have largely slipped my mind.

Ha, ha, that was Dark Knight.

Blackadder said:So, yeah, like someone else mentioned, if I forgot a movie, it's gone for good. But there were two flicks so incredibly bad they actually stuck in my brain:

"Event Horizon"—I was really hoping for some solid sci-fi, but man, what a bait and switch. It made me feel so nauseous I thought I might actually die, but honestly, it was just a total dud

Man, Event Horizon is actually an awesome movie, you seriously need to go watch it at home, Star Trek fanboy.

Scary Movie 3 is absolute garbage

Honestly, if I hadn't stumbled onto this while scrolling through other "recommendations," I wouldn't even remember that flick existed...

It totally belongs in that bottom-of-the-barrel pile along with Lara Croft and a bunch of other junk
that I’d much rather forget ever happened... 🙂

Movies you forgot about the second you walked out of the theater

...so, I can't really name any specific ones. I just sort of blanked on them the moment I left the cinema.

Cool topic title, I guess. 👍

Movies I saw in theaters and completely blanked on
-Blair Witch Project (that one description from Family Guy: "There in the woods looking for a witch or something, nothing's happening, nothing's happening, something about a map, nothing's happening, nothing's happening, nothing's happening, the movie is over. a lot of people look pissed") Honestly, that's the one I actually wanted to forget
-Men in Black
-Anaconda

That’s pretty much it... maybe I'll remember something else later

I can't even begin to list the ones that have completely slipped my mind...
But I can tell you this much: I actually managed to fall asleep during two specific movies at the theater:
Charlie's Angels
The Avengers

So, yeah—those are the ones where I can vividly recall basically forgetting they even existed while I was sitting there....

Man, this just reminded me of something...

This past summer, my friends and I went to an outdoor movie night, and honestly, it was exhausting. The only thing I can actually remember is how incredibly sleepy I was—it was pure torture trying to stay awake through the whole thing.

That’s literally it. As for what movie we were even watching? I have zero clue. 😁 I can’t recall a single scene, let alone any of the actors. I’ve spent days trying to jog my memory, but nothing comes to mind.

So, yeah, that's the "movie" review. 😁 (Or maybe it's just a reflection on how much I drank that day? 😁)

There used to be plenty of them, but honestly, my memory is failing me and I can't recall any specific titles right now. 😉

That’s exactly why I tend to skip the movie theaters altogether. I’d much rather just settle for whatever happens to be playing on TV—for instance, PBS tends to air a decent amount of foreign cinema 👍, and occasionally I'll catch an older Hollywood blockbuster if it's on...

To give you an example, the last thing I actually sat down to watch was The Escaped Juror. It was genuinely a great film, but it was almost too intense; the moment my friend and I walked out of the theater, I completely stopped thinking about it. There is simply zero sense of catharsis to be found in this era of hyper-produced American cinema.

It would be a lot easier if I just listed the ones I actually remember... Honestly, about 9 out of 10 movies I watch, I forget them immediately, sometimes even before the credits finish rolling.

I don't get WHY people even bother going to see stuff like that in a theater. I’ve never gone. Even without seeing it, I already know it’s garbage. I’d much rather hit up a local indie cinema for a week-long foreign film festival or something similar.

It’s been ages since I actually sat in a movie theater (if you don't count special screenings or film festivals). But I remember one time, just out of pure boredom during a scorching summer, we wandered through a quiet town—not quite as dusty as those old Western sets—just to catch a flick. I can't recall the title, but I know it starred that actress from that show with all the ladies (wasn't that helpful? 😁 You know, the one with the three old roommates... the name is totally escaping me right now...) and there were these massive crocodiles involved. It was incredibly stupid, but not quite bad enough to be "good" trash. Still, there were a few trashy scenes. My favorite part, though? At the end, they somehow catch the crocodile... or something like that. The writer was clearly so rushed that they left enough material open for a sequel involving tiny baby crocodiles. As if anyone would ever want to watch a sequel to THAT. Jeez.

It’s not even really about the cinema itself... or perhaps my memory loss is just that profound and I can't recall where I first saw it. No, I truly have no recollection
*13th Warrior*. Easily the most forgotten entry in the entire franchise, which isn't exactly saying much, considering I've spent the last twenty-three occasions turning people down by claiming I haven't seen it... though, honestly, why would I care?
And yet, even today, the actual plot remains a complete blur to me.
I’ve only managed to memorize the title, just so I don't make an embarrassing mistake again.

It’s been ages since I actually sat in a movie theater—unless you count those special screenings or repertory houses. But I do remember one time, out of pure boredom during a sweltering summer, we wandered into a theater in our quiet little town (though without all the dusty tumbleweeds you see in Westerns). Can't recall the title, but I remember the lead was that actress from that show about the group of old ladies (wasn't that helpful? 😁 You know, the one with the three elderly roommates... the title is slipping my mind...) and there were these massive Alligators involved. It was incredibly stupid, though not quite bad enough to qualify as "good" trash. Still, there were a few trashy moments. My personal favorite part: at the end, they catch one of the Alligators, but the writer was apparently so disorganized he left enough plot holes open for a sequel involving tiny baby Alligators... as if anyone would ever want to sit through a sequel to THAT. Jeez.

The movie is called, get this, "Alligator"—I actually own a copy, believe it or not.
And "Alligator II."
And yeah, I’m deeply ashamed of that.

But those three women from Miami are legendary.

That Million Dollar Hotel movie—all I really remember is how great the soundtrack was (I think it was R.E.M.).
