I was wondering if the moderators, supermods, or admins might be able to look into increasing the private message limit for regular users?

It feels to me like having a cap of 75 messages is a bit tight, especially since I've heard you guys on the mod team can receive up to 300. Maybe we could at least bump the limit up to 100 for everyone else? It might help a lot.

What do you all think? I'd love to hear from the rest of the community.

I guess it's easy for you to stay happy when you don't have to deal with moving messages around or cleaning up threads since you aren't quite as high-profile as I am. ☕ 😁

Just back up your messages to your computer, wipe the slate clean, and you can start over from scratch. 😁

I don't see the point. Like shadowpilot8 said, you can always just export any important messages to your computer.

Before I stepped up to moderation, I never even hit 20 total PMs. Now that I'm a mod, I need more than that because I rarely have fewer than 50; it comes with the territory. Between people asking questions and getting a follow-up PM for every warning I issue, my inbox stays full. For a moderator, a limit of 75 messages would be cutting it way too close.

Look, if 75 isn't cutting it, then 100 probably won't either. It’s like me thinking 300 isn't enough—honestly, you've just gotta go in and clear out the junk every now and then. 🙂

Back when I first started hanging around these forums, $75 felt like a decent chunk of change. Now? Honestly, $300 doesn't even scratch the surface. 😁 It’s like those little love notes moderators get tucked away—they might seem trivial, but they carry a certain sentimental weight that really starts to pile up over time.

I mean, there’s always gmail, msn, skype, and all that other stuff if you just want to chat...🤷

Hey, fadedmarlin402, if 300 isn't enough for you, why not lighten the load? Just copy and paste them over to our moderator health thread so we have something to keep us entertained. 🍿

I handle everything I receive or send instantly—read it, then delete it immediately—so who's going to 🤷 😁
As it stands, I haven't even hit that famous 75-post milestone, let alone made it halfway 😁
The only exception is if a message actually holds some value, substance, or something pertinent to me—in those cases, I'll save/keep it 😛

Then they just make clone accounts to try and send a PM, which gets their ban extended for cloning, while the people receiving them have no clue who's even messaging them🤣

They actually get Ban because they're posting on the forum while their main account is still suspended, not because some clones sent them a message.
