I guess I’ve been spinning around the Iced Earth track "A question of Heaven" lately, and it just hits different when you really sit with it. It’s one of those songs that stays with you, though I can't quite put my finger on why it feels so heavy even without the usual aggression. Maybe it's just the way the melody hangs in the air. I don't know. It’s definitely a mood.

I’ve been spinning some Judas Priest lately—specifically "Touch of Evil"—and it’s got me thinking about how much the landscape has shifted since those tracks first hit the airwaves. It’s heavy, sure, but there’s a certain grit to it that feels almost lost in today’s polished production. I guess I’m just getting old, or maybe I’m just tired of everything sounding like it was scrubbed clean by a corporate algorithm. It’s a mood, I suppose.
