Why was my thread moved from Religion to Off-Topic and then deleted?

I think the title pretty much speaks for itself, but...
I originally started that "I am God" thread to actually dive into the philosophy and the whole concept of divinity, but instead, I just got swarmed by trolls.
Instead of them getting banned, my thread gets kicked to the off-topic section and then nuked entirely.
Seriously, you guys are really testing my patience here.

Maybe take a second to actually think before you go starting another high-quality thread here
this one is clearly beyond repair at this point, so even the mods didn't really have much of a choice in what they did
and yeah, let's dial back the rhetoric in here, if you please
