First option isn't possible, and neither is the last; it’s entirely up to you whether you want to start over or not.

I'm not entirely sure how much I can tweak my username. I know I can't just change it completely, so if anyone could give me an idea of what's allowed, that would be helpful. 🙂

Go read the first post in this thread. Your username has already been changed; even if you were searching for one that actually follows the rules right now, it wouldn't matter.

The technical limit and maximum allowance for a username is 16 characters. I assume you’re already aware of that, given it was clearly stated during the profile registration process.
