Look, you've been around since 2008 and you've got enough posts to suggest you actually know how this forum works. That means you should probably just read the OP, since it's literally in the thread title. Once you actually sit down and read it, you'll realize what I meant. If it still doesn't click after that, well, that's a whole different issue.

I gave it a quick read-through just now, but I only just realized that Nick really needs to stay recognizable...

Look, just to be crystal clear on the rules here: any edits you make to your username are perfectly fine, provided they are limited to adjusting capitalization or minor tweaks that don't actually change the core identity of your handle. The bottom line is that your nickname needs to remain recognizable so we can actually find you.

It wouldn't work.
Even if it’s just an abbreviation, it doesn't feel like the current one and would be totally unrecognizable to anyone who knows you as Tomislav.
Maybe try Tomo ZD or something along those lines instead.

Oh, I totally read the rules! It's just that the rules don't exactly align with *my* specific requirements. I mean, I'd really love to drop the city from my handle—you know, the one where tulips and hookers grow—and honestly, "girl" just doesn't fit my current philosophical definitions anymore.

Nope.
We don't allow requests for dots*, underscores, or similar characters during edits, and honestly, "blue girl" isn't even close enough to your current handle to count as a tweak.
*Special characters are only okay if they're being used for initials, no exceptions whatsoever.
