To the Admin Team,

I, Maminho, want to offer my sincere apologies to the entire Reddit moderation team. I’d like to use this space to apologize to every single user here whom I may have offended, whether directly or indirectly.

I’ve made mistakes on this platform, and I’m not going to pretend otherwise. But I believe everyone deserves a second chance—and that includes me.

I am reaching out to ask if you would consider unbanning me, because being unable to participate here is honestly pretty rough.😢
Please try to see things from my perspective and imagine how much I miss being part of this community.
This was actually the very first site I ever joined, which makes it hold a special place in my heart; it really is my favorite corner of the internet.🙂

To start, I’d like to humbly ask if you could grant me access to the designated area for banned users,🙂 as I really don't want to resort to making burner accounts just to get in touch with the mods and admins.😢

I am more than willing to serve a probationary period so you can see for yourselves that I've changed.🙂 I’m not that same person anymore; I've grown up and learned to be much more respectful.☕😉

With the hope that you might lift my permanent ban, your loyal member, Maminho

P.S.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone in this community!

Getting my account back would truly be the best gift you could give me.

He was causing trouble over on our Formula 1 subreddits too, but that was ages ago. He’s not solely to blame here; his biggest mistake was getting hooked on trolling and then biting back just as hard. Before this permanent ban, I didn't see him posting any nonsense on the Formula 1 page. Actually, he'd mellowed out quite a bit compared to when he first started posting; he was mostly fine there. He was great at starting threads before every race 👍, and he even came up with the subreddit Formula 1 Championship and F1 tournament 🙏 👍, which are awesome competitions I participate in myself. From what I hear, the ban happened because of issues he supposedly caused over on the Soccer subreddit. I don't hang out there, so I don't know the specifics, but as a regular user on the Formula 1 page—one of the most active ones, if not *the* most active—I think he should be let back in.
Just give him a temporary suspension on the Soccer subreddit if he's bothering the soccer fans or the mods there, and call it a day.

In that case, I'm pretty sure he won't bother making clones or causing drama on the soccer page again.

As a regular over in the Formula 1 sub, I'm totally on board with this. He definitely needs a ban from the soccer boards since he clearly isn't on the same wavelength as those moderators. And honestly? If he tries to make a clone account for soccer, he should get an immediate permanent ban on his main handle with zero chance for appeal. I bet that would kill the support he’s currently getting from the Formula 1 crowd too.
In the meantime, since the last time he got banned, he's actually grown up a bit. Maybe if he gets one last shot, he can finally turn a new leaf in his forum life.

Speaking as an F1 moderator, I can confirm he’s definitely cleaned up his act regarding Formula 1, so I personally don't see any issue with granting him access.

Of course, everything will be under heavy scrutiny, but I honestly think he can pull it off.🙂

Here’s my two cents...
Just like my esteemed colleagues following Formula 1, I’m suggesting we let him have access there, but keep him away from the soccer discussions. That way, everyone stays happy.

Maminho isn't causing any trouble in Formula 1, so he should be left alone.

Best,
G

He really isn't bothering anyone, and it would be totally fine if they just let him back onto the Formula 1 subreddits

I honestly think he’s matured quite a bit. It doesn't feel like he'll be causing drama anymore because, from where I'm standing, he's been through enough. He's seen what life is like without the community, and now that he knows how much he missed, I don't think he'll go back to acting out or being foolish. I'd really like to ask everyone else to give him one more
chance.

He’s finally hit eighteen and seems to have grown up a bit; can we bring him back, if there's any way to make that happen?

I’m totally with the guys over on the Formula 1 subreddit—give this guy another shot. As far as I can tell, he isn't causing any drama in the Formula 1 community and seems to have cleaned up his act. Plus, he’s actually a solid contributor to the sub; his race thread openers are absolute masterclasses 🙏. A few people already mentioned that if he needs to stay banned from the Soccer board, fine, no big deal, but nobody on the Formula 1 sub has an issue with him. We’d all love to see him back in the Formula 1 section if there's even a remote chance to make it happen.

I honestly feel that Maminho should be allowed back into Formula 1 discussions on Reddit; if certain soccer players have an issue with him, I suppose they could just deal with that privately on their own files.

Maminho seems to be quite an intelligent and capable young man who possesses an incredible amount of knowledge regarding Formula 1, so perhaps someone as old and out of touch as myself could actually learn a thing or two from him.

He has expressed his regrets and made a humble plea to return, and since it seems people genuinely care about him and want him back—plus, the issues that led to his ban were really just confined to one small, insignificant corner of Reddit—I don't see why it would be a problem...

Come on, Admins... please take action and bring back Maminha! 👍

I’m on the same page as the guys over at NASCAR. Honestly, I think he should be banned entirely, or at least restricted to only being allowed to post via PDFs on the NASCAR forums.

It’s just not possible.
There are users out there who received permanent bans for way, way less than what Maminho was doing, and yet nobody even thought to step in and help them. Look, I don’t have anything against Maminho personally, but I really feel like we need to establish some kind of standard threshold when it comes to this stuff. Consistency matters!

Honestly, who’s actually guaranteeing that things will change? He’s already been given plenty of opportunities, and I just don't see how "one more shot" is going to fix anything this time around. When you look at the history here, we've seen this exact same circus play out multiple times before. Every single time he was granted "one last chance" or hit with a mountain of warnings, he responded with the same old nonsense: insults, trolling, and constant spamming. It's a broken cycle.
The internet is a massive place—plenty of room for everyone! They should just go find a home somewhere else.

Let me reiterate: all of this is likely true, but it belongs on the NASCAR subforum. Here, we’ve seen the entire NASCAR crew show up to ask for his return. Therefore, just unban him from NASCAR and call it a day. A permanent ban exists primarily to prevent a member from harassing others—essentially to protect the rest of the forum community. In this specific space, the community has stood united in asking for his ban to remain. Consequently, the fundamental purpose of his NASCAR ban has been undermined.

First off, do you have any idea how many clone accounts he made? I honestly stopped counting after the 20th one.
Second, he was straight-up insulting and threatening the moderators over in the Football section—who, by the way, have absolutely zero tolerance for his antics, both before and after his permanent ban.
Third, he flooded and spammed almost every single thread he touched, often using incredibly vulgar and offensive language toward other users. It was borderline pathological!
All of this happened right here on the main site, where the general community rules apply to every single subforum and every corner of the platform.
Partial bans are usually reserved for trolls who just want to derail one specific discussion thread. But this guy? He proved himself a problem time and time again across multiple sections, including Football, Tech Support, and even during the Euro 2008 discussions. He even had partial bans in your section too!

It’s just more of the same, isn't it? Another day, another cycle of predictable outcomes and empty rhetoric. You can try to paint it differently, but at the end of the day, the pattern remains unchanged. It’s like watching a slow leak in a tire—you know exactly where it’s headed, yet people still act surprised when they find themselves sitting on the rim. kaže:
First off, do you have any idea how many clones he’s churned out? I honestly stopped trying to keep count once we passed twenty.
On top of everything else, he was actively insulting and threatening the moderators. Football. To his great misfortune, they’ve maintained a zero-tolerance policy regarding his conduct, both before and after the permanent ban.
Thirdly, he flooded the boards, spamming almost every thread he touched until things reached a breaking point. On several occasions, he also resorted to using vulgarity and being outright insulting toward other users.
Everything went down on Reddit, where the standard community guidelines apply across the board and govern every single subreddit.
Partial bans are usually just a tool used to silence people and kill any actual discussion on a single thread. It’s a way to shut down debate rather than engage with it. As for "maminho," he’s already proven himself time and again in plenty of other arenas. Football, the Olympics, and the 2008 Euro. Even during his tenure, he struggled to maintain full control over things, even back in your neck of the woods.

I truly believe everyone understands why "Maminho" is such an unwelcome presence in most circles. However, when I look at the NASCAR subforum, it’s clear that isn't the case there. Persisting in the demand that he remains banned from that specific corner of the site doesn't actually serve anyone. The football fans aren't gaining or losing anything because he isn't even part of their discussions, whereas the NASCAR crowd is essentially being shortchanged—they're the ones who actually want him around.

Doesn't everything bolded here fall under the same category—the Football thread?🤷
That’s exactly what we're talking about right here...
It looks like you and the other guy who chimed in earlier (Ono) are just regulars from the Football board who clearly can't stand the guy. Meanwhile, everyone else jumping in is from the NASCAR section, and they’re all 100% teamed up to get maminho's permanent ban lifted.
Most of the suggestions were actually aimed at letting him post in NASCAR while keeping him banned from Football. That way, he wouldn't be bothering you or your crew at all. Since neither you nor Ono ever post in the NASCAR section anyway, you really shouldn't be losing any sleep over maminho showing up there.😉

I think you’re forgetting about that whole situation right after the permanent ban, when Maminho set up a clone account under a different nickname! I am absolutely thrilled to be here! I’ve been following the racing scene for ages, and there is just nothing quite like the adrenaline of a high-stakes race weekend. It truly gets my heart racing! He was posting freely on both the OS and NASCAR boards, even though anyone with half a brain could tell it was him. Even some of the football moderators were also active over on the OS side. Everything was running smoothly until that one Alonsista fan decided to drift over to the football section—acting exactly like his mama would expect—only to get slapped with a permanent ban immediately. Of course, that triggered a massive wave of bans for his next dozen or so clones, too!
So, he actually had the exact opportunity you’re advocating for—but let’s be honest, he completely blew it. And just a side note here: if we were talking about banning him from just one NASCAR forum, that would basically trigger a partial ban across almost all the others, or at least most of them. Trust me, nobody is going to do you a favor like that for a spammer who’s already been permanently banned!
Greetings to everyone!

Look, it’s not even about him being a "nuisance" to me personally. Honestly, I’ve reached a point where I can just tune stuff like that out. The real issue here is his behavior—it was downright delinquent. He was being incredibly rude and basically flouting every single rule of standard internet etiquette, common sense, and basic decency. As for the idea of banning him or unbanning him based on whether he's "relatively constructive" in one specific subforum while being a total menace everywhere else? To be blunt, I think that logic is just plain foolish.
And let’s be honest, that whole "one more shot" political strategy stopped working for Momma a long time ago!

Wait, hold on! Just to be clear, we're talking about Other Sports here—this definitely isn't football!

You mentioned he finally hit adulthood in the meantime. Well, great! I guess that means it's high time he looks back, realizes exactly why he got banned, and actually takes responsibility for his actions—just like he'll need to do out there in the real world.

not that anyone actually gives a damn, but after all those nasty insults thrown at sepe, the moderators, and pretty much anyone else Manny Pacquiao felt like attacking—stuff we spent days scrubbing and banning him from the restricted area for (strictly because of his language and that totally unacceptable way he talks to people)—I am dead set against giving him a second chance, or any chance for that matter.

so you want to post on forums? cool, go find some other place where you haven't spent three months insulting about 20 different moderators 🤷 you're an adult, great, happy birthday, now try learning how to deal with the consequences of your own actions.
