Is he still hanging out with that weird little group of his? 🤔

If Terbal just stuck by his girl, we wouldn't be having this problem...

It seems the GOAT "caught" COVID-19 from being too intimidated by the metal safety barriers at the Bahrain Grand Prix.

Mixed sets.

Alex Barnes93 said:But hey, that's kind of the whole point of Formula 1, right? It’s a constructors' championship, not a driver's trophy hunt. The goal is to build the fastest machine possible so that any driver on the grid could jump in and cruise to a victory.
At the end of the day, the big money follows the constructors' standings and the team title. The drivers' championship is cool for the prestige and the bragging rights, sure, but it brings exactly $0.00 in direct prize money to the team that wins it.

So, let me just repeat myself here:

That’s only half the story. A great driver will always extract more from a mediocre car than an average one; there are plenty of examples like that in F1 history.

The influencer might be a talented driver, but he isn't nearly the superstar people make him out to be. The reality is he won everything because he was in the most dominant car ever built. We saw proof of that today when a driver who hasn't scored a single point was right on the verge of winning—he probably would have taken it if Mercedes hadn't botched that tire change.

We’re expecting an announcement today. Williams and Mercedes are in talks regarding George Russell, and from what I can tell, Williams isn't being particularly stubborn about it. We could be looking at 🎉

For once, I actually wanted to see Mercedes (Russell) pull off a win, and then they go and do this...

You know that joke about the two former pro football players...

They’re asking each other what they do now that their playing days are over...
The second guy says, "I'm working as a civil engineering professor."
The first one goes, "Are you kidding me? You don't know the first thing about engineering!"
The second guy replies: "That's exactly why I'm teaching them." 😍

Look, Lewis competed against three different world champions while driving for the same team—without any team orders in play—and overall, he came out on top. He doesn't owe anyone an explanation anymore. From his karting days all the way through Formula 2, where everyone is in identical cars, he proved he had the goods.
Compare that to someone like Michael Schumacher. He had teammates basically acting as water carriers, drove the best (or maybe questionable) cars for years, so people don't question his stats nearly as much.🤷

George Russell posted on Facebook, expressing his gratitude to Mercedes.
He’s even wearing the Mercedes kit.
Seeing Russell behind the wheel... now that's an interesting turn of events.

Edit:

BREAKING: Mercedes replacing Lewis Hamilton at the Sakhir Grand Prix. George Russell will step in, while Jack Aitken takes over the seat at Williams Racing.

I honestly think this would never have happened with Lewis Hamilton, because he’s just so incredibly meticulous about everything; he has this almost obsessive need to stay in total control and double-check every single detail with his crew. 😁

Are you sure about that?

Maybe double-check your math.

It looks like they're definitely leaning toward George Russell:

The logic here seems to be that they’ll pick someone from within the Mercedes family, likely either Russell or Stoffel Vandoorne.

Think about it—even if Nico Hulkenberg were on the grid back in 2021, he wouldn't have been considered a "natural fit" for a Mercedes seat. Sure, maybe Racing Point would have taken a chance, but Mercedes tends to stick with their "trusted circle."

And look, I’m actually in a damn good mood for once 🤣

But man, Mercedes absolutely wrecked Russell. It's like they borrowed their strategists and pit crew straight from Ferrari 🤦

Thanks.
It isn't because the race outcome robbed you of enough drama to fuel endless debates and mental gymnastics.
No, you're staying quiet simply because you're being considerate and kind.
Thanks, Tibi. 🙂

Rosberg, Button, Alonso. Where'd I miss the mark?

Sweet 🎉
Though I’d honestly love to see him compete in both races 🎉

George, go out there and prove you can step up for Lewis

And here’s the official word from the Mercedes Twitter account https://twitter.com/MercedesAMGF1/st...37588315926534

I was recently catching up on a documentary about how Mercedes-Benz handles their marketing and team finances, specifically diving into some of those clever financial maneuvers Toto Wolff pulls off.

Watching the coverage on Sky just now actually reminded me that we’re looking at a budget cap of $145 million next year.

So, I guess if you take all that math, add it all up, and then factor in Lewis Hamilton's salary, next season might just turn into an absolute bloodbath.🥱

Look, Lewis Hamilton didn't race a single inch against Rosberg world champion. Hamilton crossed the line first in Abu Dhabi 2016, then Rosberg followed. That was it—that's when he became the world champion. They only did one parade lap together. But a parade lap isn't actual racing. It doesn't count.

They haven't shared a track since.

So, if we're being strictly technical, Hamilton hasn't raced even a millimeter against Rosberg world champion.
