1. How do I quote a post that’s already quoting someone else? I'm trying to nest them—you know, having one quoted block inside another rather than just stacking them on top of each other.

2. Is there a better way to split up a single post into several different replies while keeping the original author's name attached to each part? Up until now, I've just been manually copying and pasting the username along with those little ID numbers, which is honestly such a chore... is there a faster, more streamlined way to handle this?

Let me give it a shot.

2. And how do I split up a single post into several different replies while making sure the author's name shows up on every single piece? Up until now, I've been manually copying and pasting the names and those annoying ID numbers, which is honestly such a drag. Is there a faster, easier way to handle this without losing my mind?

There you go.

Once you've tagged them all, just click the regular Quote button on that final post. Everything should automatically wrap itself in those quote tags, giving you the freedom to clean up any fluff, bold the parts that actually matter, or slide your own commentary in between the blocks of text. It's pretty straightforward, really.

So, here is how you handle quoting text:

HTML Code:

Now, sure, you could sit there and type out the code manually if you really enjoy wasting your time, but why bother? It’s much simpler to just highlight the entire block of text and click this little icon shown in the image. It’ll generate the code for you automatically. Isn't life easier when you don't have to do everything by hand?

Where exactly am I missing the mark? If you could provide some more detailed guidance, I’d appreciate it.

And why exactly is that the case?

My process is a bit more convoluted than most—I tend to quote the entire block, strip away the parts that don't serve my point, provide my response, and then repeat the cycle by pasting the full quote again only to prune it once more.
It’s stalling, and we’re nearly at the finish line...

Here is how I’m approaching this (I’ll provide as much detail as possible), From the very beginning....):
To quote a post, you simply hit the Quote button to trigger the quoted block; then, highlight the specific section of text you intend to address and click the icon—that little speech bubble symbol—to finalize your comment. Wrap Quote the designated portion of the text should be enclosed within quote tags at both the beginning and the end Wrap QuoteI will append my commentary following that Wrap Quote at the end; I’ll highlight the second section once more; add the icon again; and then follow up with another comment right after the quote.

It seems my formatting has gone completely sideways; everything—from my own commentary down to those smaller nested quotes—is getting swallowed up by one massive, oversized quote block at the end of the post. It makes sense, I suppose, given that my own remarks are nested within the primary quote block... wouldn't you agree?
I feel as though I am missing a crucial step in my process, or perhaps there is a fundamental flaw in my approach that remains stubbornly out of reach, yet despite my efforts, the error eludes everyone's perception.🤷
Everyone keeps telling me the same thing: highlight the text, hit the icon, leave a comment. So, I follow the instructions to the letter, but when you look at the actual results... well, the outcome speaks for itself.
Something isn't quite clicking, so I would appreciate it if someone with a bit of patience could take a look at my task list and help me pinpoint exactly where my logic is faltering.🙂

I’m completely lost here—it just isn't clicking. I can't figure out where to start because none of these instructions make any sense to me. For instance, how am I supposed to quote multiple posts at once? 🙄 What exactly is multi-quote, and what's the actual order of operations for using it?

So, how do you actually quote from multiple different posts when you're flipping through several pages? And while we're at it—what does "quote" even mean in this context?

If you just want a single quote—meaning you want to show the specific message you're replying to—just hit the "Quote" icon in the bottom right corner of that post. It’ll open the editor with that user's message already typed out for you.

Right next to that "Quote" button, there's an icon for "Multi-quote." Just scroll through the thread and click that icon on every post you want to address. Once you're done, head to the bottom of the page and hit "Post Reply." A window will pop up containing all the posts you selected.

Good luck navigating this mess. 😉

Okay
So why does everything end up stuck inside one "giant" quote block at the end—my tiny quotes AND my comments? (I mean, I guess it makes sense since my comments are technically inside the "main" quote... right?)
I must be doing something wrong or missing a step, but nobody is helping me figure out what...🤷
