stormybadger8 said:Please. He hasn't a clue. Massa and Kimi are way better—they smash into barriers, rip out fuel lines, and run over mechanics. Hamilton is a total genius; he drives straight into parked cars in the pits or parks in the gravel right at the pit entry. But oh, Vettel is just "clumsy" because he's actually defending a position during a race. ☕

EDIT:

🤣 Where do you even live? Still stuck in the Michelin era or something? 😕

Everyone uses Bridgestone tires now. 😉

🙏I don't know why I even bother. Clearly, you don't follow Formula 1. 😬

I was just pointing out how some Renault fan was calling Toyota losers—but let’s be real, once their big star left, Renault basically fell off a cliff. It really shows you exactly who the real engine behind all that success was—anyone who actually keeps up with Formula 1 should be able to see that! 😉

Look, friends, come talk to me once Toyota manages to snatch two championship titles from them.

Give me a break.

I mean, they haven't even managed to secure a single race win yet.😍

Don't be ridiculous. 🙏

Renault is a true institution in Formula 1.

It feels like Toyota is just waiting for that one breakthrough moment, that single opportunity to finally step up and claim a victory. It’s like watching a seasoned athlete who has all the technical skill in the world but is still searching for that elusive championship win to prove everything was worth the grind. They have the foundation, but they need that spark to actually secure something tangible. ☕

I called them losers, and honestly, I stand by it. It’s just hard to watch when you consider they’re currently driving a car that practically demands to be at the front of the pack, yet here we are—they're nowhere to be found. 🙏

Did they seriously scrap that rule where the wheels had to be connected by some kind of metal bar or whatever?

Yeah, that was certainly an interesting sight.
I'd venture to guess the cables just snapped. I mean, seeing Sebastian Vettel dragging that tire such a long distance before Nick Heidfeld ended up pinning it against the wall... it really looked like the tethers gave way.🤷

mistybear87, are you feeling a bit let down by how Williams Racing performed, especially after they looked so promising during the practice sessions?

Vettel's wheel stayed on the car the whole damn time.😉

Robert Kubica's wheels went flying all over the track.☕

Not sure why I would be. They had a total meltdown during the race, just like Red Bull Racing, and even Toyota struggled big time. Realistically, right now the power rankings look like this:

unknown and Toyota, somewhere in that bracket
Red Bull Racing and Williams Racing, somewhere there
Ferrari
unknown
everyone else☕

Assuming the FIA doesn't hand out penalties and everyone actually finishes the race—even Ferrari isn't looking at points, let alone the rest of the field.☕

The scenarios you're describing? Pure science fiction this season. Just forget about it.

And Ferrari? 😱 Give them a break.

Don't be so gloomy; you'll get used to it eventually.🤣
Australia didn't exactly end on a high note for me either.☕

As for Renault, they seem fast only when compared to Force India, though if 😁

The only small comfort is that the gaps aren't massive yet, and I suspect we'll hear the same old arguments about how the season is "just getting started" once things start moving along, much like what we saw last year.

If you're looking for some kind of sign, just know I spent years pulling for Williams Racing, but clearly, my loyalty didn't change the outcome. 🤷

Look🤷 ,the truth is Toyota didn't get penalized. If they had started from their earned qualifying spots, they would've cruised to a 1-2 finish for sure. Red Bull Racing would've been 3rd or 4th, Sebastian Vettel 5th if he hadn't crashed, Robert Kubica 6th, Nico Rosberg 7th, and both Nick Heidfeld and Mark Webber were caught up in that opening lap wreck, so just do the math.☕

doesn't have to be😉 clearly the best engines are Toyota and Mercedes. Now, the question is whether it's really Aerodynamics or the new Renault engine that makes Red Bull so dominant 🤷 because if Renault were truly that bad, then STR would actually be better than Red Bull, wouldn't they?🤷

One race is way too little to claim who has the best engine or anything else.
Looking at today's race, the red cars held their own for a while. Then everything went downhill once Massin made those tire changes.

BTW, the way these tires were picked—specifically their characteristics—just gives more reason to focus on tactics. It’s going to matter more who pits when rather than who has the better driver or car. It's stupid.

I don't know about that. Massa could barely keep up with Sebastian Vettel, and KERS didn't even help much at the start—it was more like a desperate launch from Rubens. Plus, Robert Kubica definitely had the pace, so things aren't looking great for Ferrari. On top of that, Massa was the first one in the pits despite qualifying 7th.☕

Here’s the deal with what went down between Trulli and Lewis Hamilton — it’s not like there aren't precedents for decisions like that in history...
