😲😲 total oxymoron
OT: I honestly find it hard to believe anyone mentioned in this thing will even bother responding to the article, but here we are...
And, man, I guess it’s almost unbelievable that a reporter wouldn't have written this if the main targets weren't prominent Republicans, but hey, I suppose anything is better than nothing at all...

The wheel of fortune keeps spinning... you banned alcohol, so don't go drinking it now. 🙂
Usually, that just lands you with a misdemeanor charge and a fine.

you people are idiots 😁 they passed fan legislation, not politician legislation, why can't you grasp that..
one day if one of you finds yourself in a VIP lounge like a politician, then you can sip your daily dose of alcohol without issue, but until then you will remain treated like second or third-class citizens, labeled as scum or addicts..👍
honestly, this country of double standards is sickening, and worst of all, these animals don't even hesitate to drink right in front of cameras, the media, and the entire public..
anyway, let me hear about a single victory celebration or election win that goes by without a drop, or after winning a medal—there's always champagne flowing.. but if some idiot fan, who just finished a work week that usually lasted 50+ hours (considering how many games I've missed because I was grinding through Saturday shifts or overtime all week), decides to grab a beer with his crew before or after the game, suddenly it's a problem....
but whatever, the main thing is the average American is well-informed about the private lives of Wall Street elites, and yeah, count me in for this new era of fan/sponsor movements... go USA go, defense, defense.. 🍿 we're small, but we're here... red, white, and blue...🙂🎉🙂🎉🙂

A few heavy hitters were hanging out on the fan law side of things at Congress today, and even the folks from the local district and the Senate aren't backing down from them. Looks like the law isn't hitting emergency status just yet. 🙏👍🙏👍

Could someone please provide some information? I'm dying of curiosity here. Just drop a comment so I don't have to spend my afternoon stuck on the phone.

So my buddy was telling me yesterday that Spitka was guesting on some show on CNN or maybe Fox News last night—honestly, I can't remember which channel it was... even though he isn't exactly a die-hard fan, he actually got some props, and apparently, the viewers were pretty much loving him too
thomas, you got any info on this? Or maybe a link so I can go watch it?

The fan law is heading into its second reading soon. That means we have the first reading this Wednesday, followed by the amendment phase, then the second reading, and finally the vote..
In short, there's still a glimmer of hope that things might shift. The guys have put in some serious work, but there is still a massive mountain of work left to do regarding this legislation.....

Call Lekić; his phone is probably silent right now anyway! 🤣
But seriously... the powers that be finally realized our demands weren't hitting the right note—basically, we were asking for permission to act recklessly while demanding a law that’s insanely repressive. Now, even civil rights advocates are actually agreeing with most of our points. They've realized you can't just rely on repression, especially when it borders on being illegal and unconstitutional.
There was also some talk about precautionary measures that are already covered under current law.
It’s headed to a second reading, which gives us a month or two to push for amendments. Even the police themselves admitted that certain parts are way too strict. For instance, that 0.5 rule...
I won't go into all the gritty details since nothing is set in stone yet, but long story short—some of our demands aren't just coming from us anymore; they're being backed by some pretty influential people. It also clearly helped that Smerdel stepped up the other day and tore them to shreds; the guy literally helped write the Constitution, so he knows exactly what he's talking about...
All of this happened because of that legal precedent. Nowadays, you can't get anything done if you aren't playing in the media. 👍

Bravo on the coordination, truly impressive work.
Eh, if only I could explain to the folks over in East St. Louis that at least during this derby, we don't have to deal with those shady characters pulling stunts in the dark.

I have a question regarding this whole situation involving Joe and that basketball jersey... wasn't it mentioned in the Sports Fan Law that citizens—acting as witnesses—can report someone if they violate a specific clause or regulation? I’m wondering if, for example (just as a hypothetical), a group like the Lakers fan club could file a formal report against Joe for violating those alcohol consumption laws and demand he be penalized to the fullest extent of the law—including precautionary measures, bans, fines, and everything else that follows. I mean, can we actually build a case against him? Isn't this an incredible opportunity for us? They are the very ones breaking the law first, so why on earth should we show them any respect? We just need someone to draft something up properly... there are photos, and thank God there are 15,000 witnesses... so I'm just curious to see if anyone can get a complaint written up quickly...

It seems like everyone is talking about this everywhere:
There’s an article over at the New York Post

Good for them... this is how it should be done, hitting them where it hurts through the media. I'm honestly curious to see if any of those "big shots" actually end up facing consequences.

They've been vaccinated against it; they have immunity😁 but for the media, they're totally untouchable

This is just the beginning, but at last, a voice of reason is emerging from the media—not all of them, but some...
Regarding this whole mess with the Sports Fan Law, the press has been all over it for the last two days, and the shift is night and day. What’s truly hilarious? They’re blaming everything on fan outbursts in the media, yet the very people pushing this law under the guise of "fighting hooliganism" are the ones who caused this disaster. Well, congratulations. You’ve completely backfired and made it obvious to the entire nation that you don't even follow your own absurd regulations..
I have to hand it to the politicians for screwing themselves over. Let's be real: they didn't put up much of a fight, so there's no way the media would be running with this story otherwise. Now, the press has every excuse to go after the highest levels of government, which is exactly what sells. Cheers to the administration once again..👍
