The movie was just... meh. Nothing special.
It’s one of those things you watch once and then immediately forget about.
Honestly, I’m almost glad I had those technical issues earlier—you know, when the subtitles wouldn't load properly because of the file type.
Such a weird format to deal with, especially back during that era when everyone was obsessed with those tiny 350 MB rips.

Nah, it’s not—it’s actually pretty fun and just kind of weird in a good way. I thought it was awesome when I first saw it back in 2008, honestly.

Outlander is a lot like John Carter—both are totally underrated gems. You just have to go in knowing what you’re getting into. This one delivers two hours of pure, unadulterated fun by pulling off a really interesting and successful blend of different genres.

Honestly, I thought this movie was fantastic—I’ve already sat through it three times...
Why? Because, man, it actually delivers exactly what it promises. I honestly wish we saw more films like this; this kind of subject matter has always been right up my alley.
As far as genre filmmaking goes, I’d give it a solid 7/10.
The movie felt cohesive—it had a clear beginning, middle, and end—and the narrative holds its own perfectly from start to finish. I really wish they’d just make a sequel. 😁
That sword they forged from that specific material (the kind of steel our world has never even seen before) was absolutely killer. I love it when they blend high-tech futuristic elements with a gritty, medieval vibe.
Besides, Jim Caviezel has always been one of my favorite actors—for some reason, he just brings this unique, unmistakable energy to every role he takes. All things considered, this was an incredibly fun, engaging, and well-constructed piece of cinema. Like I said, I'd love to see more of this style.
I remember watching it for the first time about four years ago. I wasn't expecting much, really—I only went in because of the premise and Jim—but I walked away genuinely satisfied. It's one of those movies that leaves you with a genuine sense of fulfillment once the credits roll.
That’s about it. If I were to add one thing, it’s that this film is massively underrated, and frankly, it bugs the hell out of me. I've seen plenty of mediocre sci-fi garbage over the last two decades pulling 7 or 7.5/10 ratings on IMDb, yet this film sits at a 6.3... It’s absolute nonsense.🙂

I honestly loved this movie; it’s exactly my kind of flick. The creature design was absolutely spot on—honestly, I almost felt bad for it at one point 🙂
It's such a shame we don't see many movies made like this anymore 😉

Honestly, Codoviste—or whatever you want to call this monster—is just straight-up underwhelming, like it was designed by some complete amateurs who didn't have a clue what they were doing. It looks so goofy, right?
I mean, shouldn't they have gone for something legendary like Predator or maybe a Xenomorph instead of this shiny, cartoonish mess that feels like it belongs in a Saturday morning show?

Sure, the monster is WEIRD 🙂 but that isn't necessarily a bad thing—at least not in my book. I mean, there are all kinds of FUCKING ALIENS floating around out there in deep space anyway.😁
