Shol just doesn't hold a candle to these guys with the quota system

If you were to toss a grenade at Hvidtu, heโ€™d probably just catch it mid-air...

rapidbison42, whatโ€™s your takeโ€”do you think we actually have a shot at pulling this off? ๐Ÿ˜

And despite all the officiating garbage, we almost had them; they were saved twice by the posts and a goalkeeper who actually has a face.

Real officials who want to cheat are subtle about it. These guys were just butchering the game. Our suspensions were laughable. And then there was that call on Vori right when we finally had the man advantage. First, they call a non-existent offensive foul when he picks up the ball on the line, then they suspend him because apparently the ball ๐Ÿคฎslipped onto his foot while he was dropping it. Usually, you call that to stop a clear fast break, but this time the play and the argument lasted twenty secondsโ€”there was zero chance for a counterattack.

There were at least a dozen catastrophic errors stacked against us.

I'll say it again: we weren't playing great. Our team looked exhausted and spent, but the officiating was criminal. We managed to drag those amateurs across the finish line even though they looked lost in the final fifteen minutes. If you asked half the people in the stands where they were or what sport they were even playing, they wouldn't have known.

That whole "justice" squad should probably just stay away from the world stage in Washington, D.C.

Is that why they ended up losing by 14 points over two games against the Danes?๐Ÿคฃ

Once the final buzzer sounds, you just pack your gear and head for the exit.

And lose home-court advantage too! ๐Ÿ™‚

Man, Iโ€™d do the exact opposite. Iโ€™d be out there waving the biggest flag weโ€™ve got, riding the victory parade train, just showing everyone we're athletes. Real pros through and through! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™

Seems you've completely forgotten about that one.

Lisa Miller7 said:Quick question for the group... how many minutes of suspension did we actually get slapped with because of all that protesting

man, Lin totally screwed us over. what's even the point in arguing? he already knows he isn't changing a damn thing.

Let's be real hereโ€”the Americans are easily the best squad in this tournament, and they earned that top spot.

Chill out, guys, itโ€™s not over yet. There's no way the refs can keep handing everything to the Americans all game long without some kind of payback coming

Arthur Martinez7 said:Honestly, everything turned out quite wonderful in the end... We could have easily faced a bitter loss against the French if the officiating had been this blatantly biased against us. Looking at our actual performance on the court, we truly belong among the top two teams in the world, so I believe we should be genuinely satisfied with what we achieved. ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘‹

Itโ€™s just plain tragic when the referees rob you this blatantlyโ€”itโ€™s exactly what happened last year to ensure the Germans could cruise into the finals. That isn't sports; that's something else entirely.

I am sick of everyone who threw in the towel halfway through with those "it's all over" statements. It's pathetic...

Itโ€™s never over.

Given how rigged this whole legal process felt from the start, Iโ€™d say we really hit the ceiling hereโ€”honestly, massive props to our guys, this is a top-tier win for us๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™

Jeremy Phillips54 said:Are you kidding me right now? They totally screwed me over. If they saw the foul, why on earth did they wait until after the goal was already scored to blow the whistle? Seriously, what kind of logic is that?

There's no way Cupic stepped on him. There wasn't even any replay footage for Laco.

Arthur Martinez7 said:Itโ€™s actually quite encouraging to see ล ola leading the way, especially since we have such an incredible crop of young talent coming up. If things go according to plan at the Olympics, we might just give everyone a massive run for their money ๐Ÿ˜โ€”just look back at our performance in 2009. If we could finally get some decent arenas built ๐Ÿ˜ณ

I mean, who cares if they play on concrete? Just get those two Spanish gentlemen over here, just like ๐Ÿ˜ Baliฤ‡๐Ÿ˜

Congrats to the Danes, but I can't say the same for us today. They just had the edge, mostly thanks to their keeper. Honestly, a 24:23 score would have been a much more realistic outcome.

And the referees... no comment.

Lin... maybe skip the coffee for a bit and try some calming meds instead.

As for our guys... BRAVO. You truly left everything out there on the court.
