I caught it last night at AMC Theatres...

A fantastic film featuring an excellent performance by John Doe....
A pleasant surprise from a recent release... finally, dialogue that actually sounds like how people speak in real life. 😁
The theme is compelling, the acting is solid, and the character selection (mostly drawn from The Mob and Princess, bravo Tower) is superb...
Miles playing the boss of the crew 👍
Derpy as the waiter at the wedding 👍
Kazoo as Zlajf 👍 👍 👍

Highly recommended if you're looking for 106 minutes of enjoyable entertainment....

Thanks to the moderator for merging these topics....I scrolled through ten pages before finding this thread, but honestly, I didn't realize one already existed... though it did seem odd to me...

Watched the movie tonight without checking any reviews first, and honestly, I’m impressed. Unlike some of those recent local "films" we've been getting, this actually had a plot, decent acting, and a solid soundtrack.
As for people complaining about genre-blending—that's usually just nonsense. It's not like you don't see that in American movies all the time.

I caught it recently, and honestly, it’s definitely better than your average American film. But man, the logic is all over the place. They set the whole thing in the present day, yet everything revolves around this "new wave" vibe—you've got dark fairy tales in apples happening in Central Park, garage bands, and this nostalgia for a time that’s long gone. Then, halfway through, the movie just loses its mind. It shifts from a charming little comedy into this frantic, messy ending, almost like the editor showed up drunk and decided to stitch in footage from a completely different movie. Aside from that one solid bathroom scene with John Doe and the old guy by the bride, the rest of the film just loses its way and sense of direction. Don't get me wrong, the soundtrack is good and there's some decent humor sprinkled in, but then you get that pointless, aggressive running around at the wedding that was supposed to be funny. It just felt like senseless aggression. From the wedding to the car chase and that final scene in the garage, it stops being a tragicomedy and starts feeling like some cliché soap opera that doesn't fit at all. Still, if nothing else, the movie is a sign that maybe better days are coming for American cinema.

I can't speak to what might be sitting on the shelves of your local video rental shops, but 😁
has finally made its way onto the internet...
I sat through the film, and while it certainly won't be hailed as one of the all-time greatest cinematic achievements, for an American film, it deserves a very good rating👍...

That movie was absolutely incredible. I just finished watching it and wow, just wow.
It’s not some heavy-handed war drama like most American films usually are. The soundtrack? Killer. And the cast? Hands down the best of the best.
As if!
🙏🙏🙏
I actually found myself laughing out loud too.
Bo and Zlajf. 😂
🙏

I downloaded it yesterday and sat through the whole thing; it’s easily the greatest film ever made.

It is absolutely worth your time... and the rest of it is simply flawless... 😁

Honestly, I thought the movie was fantastic too! They really nailed that whole New York City vibe, you know? Some of those themes just never get old no matter how much time passes, and man, the soundtrack was absolutely killer... As for the flick itself, well, it’s pretty much your standard American film, nothing out of this realm, just a solid, serious piece of American cinema that actually feels worth grabbing a bucket of popcorn for at the theater, right???

The movie was a dud for me. The script? Nonexistent. It’s just endless swearing—jumping from one extreme to another, kind of like those cheap daytime soaps you see on TV. The acting was mediocre, the directing was lackluster... honestly, just a total waste of time.

Solid movie, great soundtrack... regarding the swearing, I think the director was just being real about the tension those characters were dealing with... thumbs up...👍

Just watched it for the first time a little bit ago and honestly? I’m shocked by how good it is—actually, it's freaking excellent... Olga is🙏 in this one... I really thought Glowacki was going to be as annoying as he was in Mad House, but surprisingly, he wasn't. Keckes is a legend as always👍

If you stripped away those three leads involved in the love triangle—if the script wasn't weighed down by a dozen fuzzy dramatic choices—and set the whole thing in, say, Memphis or some small town in the Midwest where it actually makes sense for the same people to run into each other constantly—it might have actually been watchable.

The real saving grace here? A bunch of stellar character performances.

That scene where Bo has an epiphany after a smoke with Zlajf and just tells his wife to get lost—specifically, "get lost, damn you"—is peak cinema. 😂🙏
The movie is fantastic. Keckes is a legend!!
